Young! Alex Mercer X Young! Reader Fluff Boy X Girl
*Here are the onshots, Part 1. Forgive me please!
Every student flooded the school campus.
The seniors and sophomores crowded the area and prepared the court with flowery colors and decorations, electrical sets and wires, and dining themes for tonight's event; Prom Night.
Girls, the girls were freaking out, gossiping, or even preparing themselves a dress for later.
The boys, fixing up the area, asking the girls out, or even sitting alone by the bench was good enough for them.
Y/n, a first year senior from the school, sitting alone, waiting for the school day to end. She was excited about the event but her mind doubted her that she won't get a dance. She ignored it, the dance were to clichè and stereotypical. Who even gave a damn about it? A few. Y/n was a loner, she is known as the school's librarian and author. For her fame, she is rarely visited in the library, she needed silence and peace -- but not to peaceful.
Tonight, she expects one of her guy-friends to take her out for a dance, like her only friend, Alex Mercer. She defines him as a borderline sociopath, she didn't like it at first but she got used to it as Alex stayed longer. His cyan eyes were so dark, or so mysterious. His black hair matched his wayfarer glasses, and his twisted grin were linked to the moon's light. Y/n adored him, come to think of it, she loved him. Though, every time, Y/n regrets what she does for him, it was like a Yandere thing for her but she didn't mind. She was more of a very good tsundere.
Along side with Alex Mercer; he is known as a loner as well. Only a few girls adored him but they soon gave up, except for Y/n. Alex knew she was trying her best but he wasn't interested. How ungrateful. And his reaction to Prom Night was natural, he neglected the fact that he wanted to dance and if he knew how to dance. He doesn't and is uninterested with the event. But he sensed that Y/n, his best-friend, wanted to dance with him. Then, Alex thought about her, how he should work it out.
- prom time -
The night were filled with lights, loud music, and formal-dressed students. Ah, yes, the night of a lifetime. Alex sat by the bench, smoking in such a young age. He frowned, watching the whole court filled with stupidity and carelessness. He tsked and laid back. Forgetting whatever the night was. In a distance, across the court, sat his best-friend, Y/n. Dressed formally: with a f/c laced dress with some black/white converse. She looked perfect, too perfect that he might've died already.
She looked at him and smiled. He looked away and ignored. Beside him sat his friend, Desmond. He said, "Alex, don't be such a dick. I know you want to dance with her and she wants to dance with you too. Go!" Alex tsked and puffed out his smoke, "Look, whatever you're telling me, I don't care anymore." Desmond got a bit pissed and pulled him down the bench, dragging him to his best-friend's place. Desmond then placed him in front of Y/n and ordered, "Dance." And he left, tapping his shoes for evidence that they are doing his orders.
Y/n and Alex blushed. Y/n started to stutter, trying to make a conversation, but her stuttering stopped when Alex held her hand. She blushed extremely, she was a nervous wreck. Alex exclaimed, "Look, I know you want to dance with me so lets dance. I won't bite you or anything." "O...Okay..." she muttered.
They both went down the bench carefully and went to the middle. In a distance, Alex saw Desmond talking to Wrench (from Watcgdogs 2) -- which his name is unkown -- about the music. Alex frowned, slightly begging for mercy. Desmond finished his job and Wrench played a slow song. Nice job, Desmond... Alex thought.
The whole crowd started to sway slowly when the song played. Alex looked down to Y/n, her hands shaking and cold. She looked down, red tint on her face. He said to her, "This is the only night we get to dance in this age, don't waste it by sitting down and sobering it up." Y/n nodded in response and held his hands tight, placing her other hand by his shoulder. Alex placed his pale hands at her back and attached his to her other hand. They both danced waltz, swaying along the beats.
She looked up to him, smiling, placing her head against his chest. Alex started a conversation, " So how long have you been wanting to dance with me..?" Y/n laughed nervously, avoiding eye contact. "It has been quite a while, Alex." "Oh, okay then." He muttered and then blushed, trying to compliment her by saying, "You look great tonight, Y/n." She blushed, "I...uh-- thanks, Alex. It's very nice of you." There was a pause between them and they both answered the same time, making them laugh. "I love you."
A few twirls and sways later, the song ended with a cheer. For Alex and Y/n, they both hugged each other, smiling with joy -- for tonight being the most memorable night ever -- they both kissed.
Desmond in the distance smirked evilly, bringing out his phone; he took a snap of them and laughed deviously. Alex noticed and chased after Desmond, begging to delete the photo and post if he already posted it. And right there giggled Y/n with her sweetest of smiles and amusement.
On that night, they both began a relationship.
