What Is The Price of Freedom?

Ch. 1 Part 9

Ch. 1 Part 9

Sep 27, 2017

     “Good morning everyone.” He greeted.

     “Good morning Principle Barcode.”

We all greeted back,

Ceasing what we were doing,

In order to pay attention

To him.

“I’m going to make this short since I know all of you have class and this wasn’t a planned meeting.” He cleared his voice, “I receive a call from the Superintendent this morning wanting to congratulate you all for your hard work!” He smiled again, slowly clapping his hands,

“I was just notified that the school has jumped up eight more ranks! That means we’re now in the top ten schools to attend and our yearly budget has increased which means new desks, books, materials, and of course events.”

His eyes,

Shifted from each

Of their faces,

That expressed

Joy.

“So thank you all so much and please, continue working hard. That’s all I wanted to say.” He turned around and then stopped, “Oh one more thing. Ratana. Please, after the meeting, come by my office.”

“Yes, sir.” I nodded my head

And he left.

“Never thought I’d have this much power to change the school!” Cornie expressed.

“I feel so happy!” Chin started to sob.

     “Please stop crying.” Garland sighed.

“It isn’t a surprise.” Delilah folded her arms, “Since Ratana appeared, we’ve been working very hard.”

“That’s true.” Fabien glanced over at me.

“You have been and I'm really happy about it!” I grinned, “Which means that we’ll have to go out and celebrate over the weekend!”

“Yes! I want fish!” Cornie cried.

“But right now, we have to get this meeting started to see if anything has changed.” I said, “So, how’s is our student body going?”

“I guess they’re doing okay.” Delilah replied.

“No, they aren't!” Cornie shouted, “We have two things to report.”

“Oh right. I forgot about those.” Delilah admitted.

“There’s a rumor going around but apparently that teacher Amor Santos was confessed to by Rachel Rosetti, a first year and he accepted her confession. Ever since then, she’s been hanging around him.”

Although I do not particularly

Care,

What others do,

I have to do whats best

In order to keep the school's reputation

A grand one.
