It's the first reveal of this series original creation: the Mineral Girls! The mineral girl shown here is Orthoclase Feldspar, from the Feldspar member.
A monoclinic crystal in structure, it has a short prismatic habit with simple twinning. It is usually white or pink in colour, opaque with vitreous lustre. It hardness on the Moh's scale is 6 and has 2.56 g/cc density.
The split hair colour indicates the simple twinning you can see under thin section. She uses bladed hand weaponry as her main offense, tho her specialty is sneaking up on target and reconnaissance. She had a gentle personality with people that she knew well, but can be rather sharp and serious when things matter most.
That's it for Orthoclase Feldspar. Unfortunately, she does not play an important role in the series, mainly just to serve as the introduction for mineral girl. This might be the first and last time you would see her around, but who knows what will happen in the future?

Mineral Moe (Mimoe) project is an outreach project to spread the love of Earth Science to the public.
At first, the series started as a fun pastime for me to learn about minerals as a part of the Mineralogy module; by imagining the minerals as characters with specific traits similar with their real world counterpart. I started to draw the characters, created their personalities and was having fun imagining their story inside my head. As time went on, I felt like I should give this project a go hoping that it might help people to know and love minerals more.
