After my "brother" left the room leaving me and Jason here all locked up like dogs, I began to think about all the wayside could busy the fuck up out of here. I got in, I was sure as hell getting out.
"What do you suppose we do now?" Jason said sighing.
"Quiet, I'm working on something" I mumbled quickly.
He didn't speak another word, and I began to think about all the exits and entrances I had saw. Slowly a map began to come together in my head.
"Jason, was there any noteworthy exits you can remember getting to this stupid fucking room."
Jason held his head for a moment and turned and looked at me.
"well I think there might be one" he said
I looked at him for a moment before speaking, " What's this one then?"
"There's a window just a few feet down the hallway, it's not a very big window but it's big enough you and I can get out and there's no bars on it"
"Then Jason that's where we get out" I said smirking.
------------------------------
The monster that called himself my brother brought us dinner around 6 p.m.. by 8 p.m. we had managed to sneak out of the room undetected. The creep to the window wasn't too long, mere seconds.
Jason went down first then I went down. The landing hurt as I smashed my knee off a rock in the flowerbeds, that were planted under the window. Didn't matter how many flowers you added to that house it was a dark shadow.
Jason and I ran, well Jason ran and I half ass ran with the limp I had received. Some how we had made it off the property and down the road, but we weren't home free. We were a great fucking while away from Runes home and even farther from Jason's.
Jason didn't at all look worried about the fact that the only things we still had was our wallets and the clothing we wore.
"Good thing we have my wallet" he said smirking.
"Uh huh, what are going to do with that buy a drink, IN THE MIDDLE OF FUCKING NO WHERE." I said screaming at him.
"My, your awfully friendly this evening" he said chuckling.
I limped past him in anger. Fuck him. Fuck his jokes. Ugh.
------------------------------------
Some where along the lines of my leg wanting to give out and becoming used to the horrible pain we had stumbled into a gas station. The owner or worker clearly thought we had been going to rob him because one second I was looking around the counter and the next I was looking down the barrel of a shot gun.
"Woah Woah Woah, what's going on!" Jason said shocked.
"I don't know who y'all shady looking folks are but if you're buying something hurry up and if you're not get the fuck out my store"
"Yes sir, I promise you we are going to buy stuff, I'm an officer of the law." Jason said before pulling out his wallet with the badge and his officer information.
"Forgive me officer, ya friend and you look like y'all be some dirty stealers, are y'all alright?"
I kept my mouth shut and waited well Jason found everything he needed which ended up being a fuck ton of shit. Jason asked the guy for his phone to use and the guy smiled before saying he don't have a damn phone. Who doesn't have a damn phone, especially when you're running a damn business.
"Hey officer your friend, he's limping, are y'all in some kind of trouble?"
" No not really, my car broke down and we just have to make it into town , I was hoping you would know how I could get a hold of someone but you don't have means of communication."
" I have a police radio, that's all I need out here, gets me my services, officer just outside of town gets my calls first just a tiny little fellow it's a wonder he's able to do anything other then desk work"
Tiny, little officer. Row.
Jason can the same conclusion as I that it was Row the old man speaking of, Jason got on the radio and did his shit well the old man walked over my way.
" Sorry for pointing me gun in yah face boy"
" You were no danger to me, I could disarm you in mere moments, but I definitely didn't feel the need, I figured he would save the day as he always does."
The old man rasied an eyebrow and laughed.
" Y'all think you can be safe and yah can't, cops breathing down our necks because the mafia be shooting down small time drug deals and gun runners, it's a scary thought. "
You have no idea old man. No idea.
