They embarked on their journey after two days of staying in the Kersia guest house.
"Our goal is to get to the Wintry Mountains as soon as possible. We shall run through the forest. Be careful to not get lost."
They set their feet into ready position and dashed, so fast that they looked like blurs.
Rygus nudged Xarius shoulder and asked him, "What do you mean by 'old scars'? Did Helle get hurt or something?"
Xarius glanced at him and provided a quick response, "Now's not the time to tell you."
He turned his head away quickly, leaving Rygus in vain.
"Zereth, why is Xarius so distant to me? Did I do anything?" Rygus asked Zereth.
"Well, you might have angered him because of your impoliteness."
"Impoliteness? Since when?"
"Since now."
They looked at each other and laughed out loud.
"What's so funny?" Helle jumped on both their shoulders and joined the conversation.
"Oh, we were just talking about-"
Rygus was stopped when he heard a voice in his head.
Don't tell her. Rygus, don't ask her about her past. There's a reason why Xarius didn't tell you.
Rygus knew that his pea brain would not be able to think so considerately, so it must be someone else.
Who are you? He asked the voice back.
You idiot, I'm Zereth! I'm using telepathy to warn you to not say anything! Who else could it be?
Maybe my inner conscience. Rygus responded
Zereth teased, Like you have one.
They laughed at their conversation while Helle stares at them questionably.
"What are you guys laughing about? Tell me. Tell me~"
"Nothing. It's nothing seriou-" Rygus bumped into Xarius' shoulder, "hey! What are you doing?"
The four stopped their steps and all looked down from the mountain.
Calmly, Xarius replied, "We're about to enter the peasant area."
