Mia
Song: Awkward, Ken Ashkorp
How dare she turn me into a fucking cat?! Brysiese, you’re dead to me, you hear?! Right now I was strapped into Lucas’s car on a booster seat. Who keeps a booster seat in their front seat? An idiot, that’s who. If you have a kid that needs one, you keep them in the back Lucas!
“I usually keep the seat in the back for my little sister, but I thought maybe you would want to sit in front with something,” he said.
Did he read my mind? I gave a meow of approval and looked out the window to the familiar scenery. We were getting close to my house.
I watched Lucas drive with a slight glare. He was wearing a short sleeve shirt so I got to see his arm muscles flex while he steered. I’m not going to lie, I’ve always found him attractive, but how can you trust someone that’s used almost all the girls at school? You can’t. He pulled into the driveway and quickly unstrapped my seatbelt. Why did he even buckle me in?
Lucas carried me and my bag to my door before knocking. I should probably tell him no one’s home. “Mreow,” I said. Fuck! I forgot.
“What?” he asked. I slipped out of his arms, trotted over to the potted plant we keep by the door and batted at it with my paw. “You trying to tell me something, cause I don’t understand.”
How can someone be so stupid?! I pushed the pot with my head and looked at him again.
“You want me to move the pot?”
Yes! “Mreow!”
He bent over and picked up the pot and I quickly grabbed the key with my teeth to give to him.
“Oh, you had a hidden key!”
Someone kill me.
Lucas unlocked the door and I dashed in looking for either of my moms, meowing for them. Lucas followed closely behind. “I don’t think anyone is home right now Mia.”
Great! Even better! I’m going to be home alone as a cat for my mom to find and then give a stupid name only to find out it’s me and get upset because I wasn’t a real kitty. And I know that’s what’s going to happen. I sighed a cat sigh and quietly made my way to the living room with Lucas still following me.
“Hey Mia, you mind if I stay ‘till your folks come home?” Lucas said. To be honest it kind of surprised me. “I won’t try anything, I just don’t feel comfortable with you being home alone in your. . . condition.”
Wow. Is he worried about me? I sighed as best as I could and just meowed. I didn’t even look at him to know he was happy about it. Jeez, I’ve got it bad. Sometimes, I like when he’s like this. Not a pervert but an actual guy that I can talk to and maybe date.
Lucas picked me up and placed me on his lap before turning on the tellie to choose a channel. I could feel him stroking my head as he looked, completely oblivious to the situation. It was almost soothing, sitting on his lap, getting pet while we watched TV. “Hey Mia, can I tell you something?” I perked my head up at him. He seemed to debate over it for a few seconds before shaking his head and smiling at me. “Never mind. It’s nothing important.”
Is this bastard trying to fuck with me? You dick! I bit his nose in frustration as he flinched away. “OW! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” he screamed.
I wanted to tell him I hate him. That he’s a huge jerk at school and can go fuck himself, but all I can do is, “MREOW!”
“What?! You wanna know what I was going to say?!”
“Meow! Meow! Mreow!” Yes, you dumbass!
“I was going to say-”
“WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!”
We both turned on the couch to find my step mom in her jammies and slippers giving us the WTF face. In other terms, if I don’t change back into myself, she’s going to fucking kill him.
Lucas looked at me before turning back to my mom. “Um, hello?”
