Her hands are tied behind her back, and so are her feet. Her mouth is covered by a piece of cloth. Confused, she looked around. Laying on the ground next to her were Xarius, Rygus, and Zereth, tied up the same way.
The space was lined with wooden planks, and there are hays on the ground. The sound of horseshoes clinking outside moved in rhythm with the vibrations. It can't be wrong, Hell thought, we're in a peasant carriage.
But how? and why? As she pondered about her situation, someone opened the doors of the carriage.
"Should we report them to the cacique?"
"The girl is cute. Shall we play with her a little?"
The two men glanced inside the cart.
"Oh, look. She's awake."
They ripped off the piece of cloth that held her lips.
"Who are you?!" Helle shouted.
"That's what we should be asking you."
They took out their plows, "Well? Answer! Who are you? What are you doing in the forest?"
Helle held her lips tightly as she knew it wouldn't do any good to argue with them.
"When we ask you a question, answer! Who are you?"
She again sat in silence.
"Wouldn't answer, would you?" the man hit Helle's arms with the plow, "Answer me! Before I ruin your pretty face!"
Screw this, Helle thought, I'm going.
She chuckled and whispered to herself, "Well, it wouldn't matter anyways. You guys are just peasants."
"What did you say?! You little wench!" One of the men threw a brick, flying towards Helle's head.
She caught it with her hand, which just released from the ropes, and crushed the brick to dust.
"A witch! She's a witch!"
"The other three must be wizards, too!"
"Let's take them to the sorcerer! Annihilate them!"
They witnessed the girl standing up, spread her wings with the three guys on her back, and flew off. "If only you can catch me first!"
Furious, they threw torches and plows towards Helle's direction, but none of them hit the target. While dodging, Helle managed to escape with the Nobles.
How did they find us? Our camping site was at least 200 feet away from their area!
Then, it hit her. The fire! Of course! How can we be so stupid?
They're too heavy, my wings can't handle all these extra weight. Because of the additional weight, she had to rest her wings in a cave near the peasant area.
"Wake up! Wake up! Somebody wake up!"
Helle decided that it would be best to focus on waking up one person. That way, each one of them can carry one of the others.
"Rygus! Rygus!" She shook him vigorously, "Wake up! Wake up!"
Rygus rubbed his eyes and stretched out his arms, "Is it morning already, Helle?"
Voices from outside the cave echoed from the walls, "We saw them going this way! That witch had wings!"
"They're in here! I see light!'
"We shall go capture the witches and wizards!"
"What is that?" Rygus asked.
Helle panicked and explained the situation briefly, "I don't know much, and we don't have time. We were in a peasant carriage, and I think they found us because of the smoke from the fire we made. Xarius and Zereth are still sleeping, but we don't have time to wake them up. We would have to escape with them on our backs."
Rygus smiled, "Leave the people to me, Helle. They are peasants, but it will be troublesome if there's a lot of people. You will just focus on getting the other two out of here. I will distract them while you run out of the other exit." He turned towards Helle, "Remember, destroy everything that stands in your way."
Just as Helle held up the other two, the peasants rushed inside and pointed their fingers towards the Nobles. "There they are!" "Get them!" "We have more people than them!"
Rygus pulled on his mask and called out the daggers. "Serve me with your great strength, Ripper."
In a flash, all men were on the ground and barely breathing. Helle used the time wisely and ran away during the chaos.
However, Rygus let his guard down when one man, who was still conscious, yelled towards the outside, "The witch is going the other way! Surround them!"
Oh no! Rygus thought. "Helle!"
He ran towards the other exit and found Xarius and Zereth, sleeping on the ground.
In front of the exit was Helle, blocking it with her body.
As he glanced outside, he found flaming arrows pointing at the peasant's neck. The sharp edged are almost touching and one flinch can kill them.
"Destroy everything that stands in your way, you said," Her crimson eyes glowed with insanity. Her aura changed. She is no longer normal. With her lips stretched wide across her face and her hands waving in mid air, conducting the Asher, she turned towards Rygus.
"Suits me just right."
Her hands pointed downwards, and screams of pain resonated under the rising sun. Bodies of men dropped on to the ground one by one, soaked in blood. The fierce cries died off with the echo.
"All done~"
