Y/N POV :

i sat in the glade watching the day go by looking around at all the gladers working and being busy i sore newt walking across the glade so i waved at him he looks as me as he walks smiles and waved back but fell over in the process making me giggle as he gets up now with mud all over him making me laugh alot

TIMESKIP :

i sat at dinner with my cooking knife trying to fix it the blade had come out the wood and within seconds newt sits across from me “hey love” he smiles at me

“hey newt…can you give me a hand?” i ask him

“sure” he says moving next to me and taking the knife from me and trying his best to fix it “AAHHH” he says as the blade slices his hand and the wooden handle gives him a splinter

“aww newt its okay im sure jeff will fix you up” i tell him

“yeah…see you later i guess” he sighs going off to the medjacks making me giggle a little at him

TIMESKIP :

i was sat in the deadheads on my break looking up at the sky till i hear a noise above me “hello?” i ask

“hey y/n” i hear newt say as he sat up in a tree

“what are you doing up there?” i ask

“i dont know” he sighs “felt like climbing a tree” he sighs making me giggle “hey..watch this” he says before i see him hanging upside down from the tree “hello” he says

“hey newt” i smile

“so….how are you?” he asks nervously

“im okay, how are you?” i ask

“well….” he begins but the branch of the tree he’s hanging from snaps and he falls to the floor

“wow newt are you alright?” i ask going to his side

“yeah im okay..i can not do anything right today” he sighs sitting up making me giggle before i grab his neck and kiss him then push away “maybe my luck just changed” he smirks

“you dont have to keep trying to impress me newt..i like you anyway” i tell him kissing his cheek

“so erer..does that mean were-” he begins before i cut him off by kissing him again

“yes newtie” i giggle sitting with him and cuddling into him
