Melody sat on the water’s edge freighted and close to tears before she heard a voice on the wind Beta her mother "find daisy, go to Valentina and restore our world" so she wiped the tears from her eyes getting up and getting a map from her bag a day’s journey across the island if she didn’t rest across the empty forbidden lands to the forest of Valentina she filled her bottle with water from Mithrilida and then headed off in the direction of Valentina following the little river that flowed from Mithrilida and Valentina following its little curves and paths as it went across the land going slightly slower because of her very, very long hair after many, many hours she at last sore the vast green woodland of Valentina Melody sore a small opening and stone path within the tree line so quickly walked to it her sore feet getting some slight rest on the soft grass she stood and looked into the pathway it had small candles in jars attacked to the trees that lined the walk way she stepped forward to start walking down it when she heard a voice "OI" a very loud rather deep tone clearly shocked "who goes there?" the voice asked

"uh...hello?" she called back and within a few seconds a rather young man climbed down from one of the trees beside her he was tall and thin with a mop of messy blonde and brown hair but the brown may have been dirty he looked like he had just woken up he held a bow and a quiver of arrows over his shoulder he was wearing a simple green armor that didn’t look all that good and green gloves

"Who are you?" he asked her

"Uh...Melody, Melody Waterlilly" she smiled sweetly at him

"Waterlilly? You’re a water girl?" he asked very confused his brown eyes widening and she did notice his pupils dilated very so slightly when he looked at her "sorry I’ve never seen a water girl before" he said still looking at her

"I have never seen an earth boy before...but I know what your guys are meant to look like my gran mother described an earth man to me once" she smiled

"okay, I will take you into the city and you can discuss your business with our leader but you may get stared at just to warn you" he said and she nodded in response and the two began to walk down the path "you mentioned your grandmother having seen a earth man, when was that?" he asked as they walked along the path

"A very long time ago back when my grandmother was very young she said an earth man came and spoke to her once they met on the shore of williten" she explained

"Oh really my Grandfather had a similar story that he met a young water girl by those shores a very, very long time ago though" he explained

"Perhaps it was the same meeting?" she asked

"Maybe, be he said he meet a princess we never believed him" he laughed

"Well if he met my grandmother all those years ago she would have been a princess" she answers simply but he quickly turned to face her

"Wait so your grandmother was once a princess making her now a queen, making you a pr-pr-pr" he stuttered

"Princess... yes princess Melody of Mithrilida" she smiled

"oh my...I’ve never met a princess before" he laughed childishly "but we must hurry come along your majesty" he said and she happily followed with a laugh and a smile till he spoke again "we don't have royalty in Valentina we just have a head of the colony he’s my uncle but I won’t be next in line for forever his daughter will get it before me she’s nice but a bit strange" he explained

"How so?" she asked

"well.." he begin before coming very close to her "she baths with clothes on" he whispered "that’s just weird to me" he said making her laugh rather loudly they kept walking for quite a while till Melody hear a strange sound behind her and stopped she turned to see a small creature about the size of a small rabbit it was almost internally fluff but two little eyes at the top of the thing it was rather cute she reached out her hand to stroke its fluffy hair but as soon as her hair touched its hair it showed large threatening teeth making her scream it bit her hand leaving a large gash on the top of her hand and many, many more came from nowhere to attack "AHHHHHHHHH!" she screamed so the boy turned and Shot the one that bit her with an arrow and the others ran off making an awful screeching sound he then forced her to sit on a fallen tree branch as he looked at where she had been bitten getting a small veil of something from his belt "normally I wouldn't use this stuff...but seeming as you’re a princess, a very pretty princess I know I’m not wasting it on you" he told her taking off one of his gloves and applying a strange yellow cream to her skin where she had been bitten and he slowly rubbed it into her skin as soon as the cream was fully rubbed in it was almost like her bit didn’t happen he smiled at her and pressed a tiny kiss to her hand” I never asked. What’s your name?" she asked with a smile

"Jamiey, Jamiey Honeylocust" he smiled back he then stood and helped her grabbing her not injured hand and pulling her up but she tripped on one of the stones of the path falling into his chest luckily he caught her he two laughed before separating and continuing on after not a lot of time they reached a large clearing with a huge tree the size of a castle in the Centre with lots of small wooden log houses darted around it and many patches of farm land with many people busheling around with boxes and farming equipment "come on" he told her taking her hand as she seemed to be getting lost in the place and taking her quickly towards the tree in the Centre after opening the large doors there where stairs the two went down the stairs and they opened out to a large room with a throne in the Centre of the back wall where a very old man his face aged and sad his eyes shut his head on his hand looking asleep all his clothes long and various shades of green and a young woman stood beside the throne no older then Jamiey she was a little shorted then Jamiey her ginger hair cut short and kept out her face by a green cloth in a pair of tight green trousers and a dark green t-shirt "I request an audience with lord oak" Jamiey said and the girl looked to the old man sleeping and sighed

"He’s asleep, you talk to me" she sighed her voice seeming disinterested and empty

"fine lavender, something has happened that has happened in a hundred generations a woman has come from the water world from the forbidden lands" he explained taking Melody’s hand and bring her closer lavender looked at Melody down her nose she didn’t seem very happy

"Jamiey dispense with the pleasantries. How do we know she’s a water girl?" she asked stepping to be within inches of Jamiey

"I sore it myself she came out of the forbidden lands" he answered "now is not the time for you to make light of me lavender" he told her

"Very well take her to a guest room I have work to do...you may stay with her or return to your work" she told him sternly

"don't talk to be like some pretty city guard, just because your next in line to be ruler doesn’t make you my queen" he told her before leaving with Melody "I’m sorry about that she’s gone a little power crazy she thinks she owns the place only because her father is going on in years I worry he won’t last much longer" he explains sadly as they walked the stairs

"Why doesn’t her husband take control when her father dies that’s how we do things?" she asked politely

"She’s hasn’t got a husband" he answered happily

"But I sore a wedding ring" she asked confused

"Well yes she’s married but she doesn’t have a husband she has a wife, lobbedia very lovely girl works out in the farms" he explained

"OH" she said rather surprised

"I’m taking it that’s not such a normal thing in the waters?" he asked

"Well it happens but it’s not common" she answered

"there’s more of it goes on here a lot it’s almost odd now to not see it" he explained as he opened a door to a large room that had a balcony looking out across the city and the forest and a large bed with wood and pinecones decorating it with large green silk curtains on it

"This is beautiful" she smiled stepping it

"Only the best for a princess" he laughed as she sat on the bed and he sat beside her "come on tell me everything" he told her as he crossed his legs and looked intrigued

"Tell you what?" she asked giggling slightly

"Everything, we have no knowledge here about anything of the water folk please, I want to know what it’s like there" he smiled

"Well there’s not much to tell I’ve spend most of my life locked up in the palace" she sighed

"well still I want to know" he smiled getting slightly closer to her she giggled and began to explain most of what she knew all about her life and her people and her family he just sat there listening occasionally butting in with a question but other than that he just sat with his head on his hand listening to her explain everything never taking his eyes off her for a second after a while she assumed he was asleep or something his eyes where now shut and his breathing steady she got close to him and shoved him lightly "Jamiey...hello Jamiey" she giggled

"Oh your highness I’m not sure we should" he said sleepily

"Jamiey what on earth are you talking about?" she asked him

"Well I guess so then Melody" he smirked and began making kissing faces and giggling but she slapped him very hard "ow what was that for?" he asked

"you know what you did Jamiey" she smirked going out to the balcony looking out at the forest and the small lightly flickering and glimmering in the star light "I’ve never seen a sky like this" she smiled

"I suppose you wouldn't living under water and all" he said joining her now having removed his gloves and armor so he stood only in a shirt and trousers his hands on the wooden pole of a balcony she took of her gloves as well savoring the feeling off wood and life such she had never felt in the waters within seconds she sore a vine growing and curling around the pole seeming to come from his hands and within seconds a stream of water curling around the pole as well, "you?" she asked "you’re a Mina?" she asked

"At what?" he asked rather unsure

"A Mina, a manipulator of the elements decent of The Forgotten children" she explained rather both shocked and surprised

"Yeah as far as I know, I can’t believe it’s you" he smiled "you know what this means?" he asked

"No, my mother didn’t explain much more then that" she sighed

"there’s a chance" he smiled taking her hand and running down the stairs dragging Melody with him and bursting back into the throne room "I demand to see my uncle" he yelled upon entering the room which made everyone turn to face him the old man now wide awake and lavender stood with another woman obviously her wife lobbedia a very short thin girl with a blonde pixie cut and long green trousers with a small green dress stopping just above her knee's as well as many other people obviously just having finished their work

"What is it my boy?" oak yawned

"I request you send a message to acatec and Mt karuksakan" Jamiey told him

"And why... should I do that my boy?" oak asked seeming tried

"What other reason would there be? Because there’s a chance Melody’s the Mina for water" he explained seeming overjoyed "even just by contacting the other cities we could know... it’s possible just possible that we could return to the castle" he explained

"Well I uh I suppose my boy but uh it would take time" oak sighed

"Very well, just send them out as soon as possible" Jamiey told them before happily taking Melody back to her room

"You should rest, you’ve had a long journey" he smiled at her door

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow I suppose" she smiled

"Well, goodnight Melody" he smiled

"Goodnight Jamiey" she giggled before he left and she happily rested her weary feet and her heavy head on the comfy bed and wrapping her body in the blankets.
