when Melody woke her room was not as bright as it had been yesterday the sky seemed dark and foreboding Melody quickly got out of bed slipping her over dress back on and returning the flower to her hair within a few moments her hair was as perfect as yesterday she then noticed a little note on her mirror "there is a clearing just outside the forest the other side of the apple tree's meet me there as soon as your awake" it made her giggle as she quickly got another strawberry and rushed out across the city looking for the apple trees till she found them she picked a nice green apple and walked through to the clearing where stood Jamiey at one end as well as a table with a few things wrapped up with cloth and a dummy at the other end he hadn’t spotted her yet "Jamiey, think fast" she giggled making him turn as she threw the apple at him luckily he caught it but only just

"Melody, I was wondering when you would get here" he smiled

"Why did you ask me here? Why didn’t you invite Abbigale too?" she asked

"Oh she said she was busy she's going down to read though some old books and things" he explained

"Okay but why did you want me here?" she giggled

"I have something for you" he told her “Shut your eyes” Jamiey said

“Why?” Melody asked

Jamiey stood and covered her eyes then said “shut your eyes” he then walked back to the table, Melody kept trying to peek but he kept catching her so she kept her eyes shut and stood carefully waiting when Jamiey came back with an item in his hand and took her hand gently and placed a light object in her hand "oh uh what’s this?" she asked him and he laughed that she didn’t know what it was he then pulled a large shinning sword from it and handing her the sword

"see you put this around you" he told her taking the marital and tightening it around her waist "so you can have it on you and pull it out when you need it, most people around here wear them Melody did you not even notice" he asked her slightly moving his jacket showing her where he was keeping his sword

"Oh to be completely honest I just thought it was a belt" she said "a belt you wear over your pants rather than though them" she shrugged "it is beautiful" she smiled looking at the sword in her hands

“Good, because it’s yours” Jamiey said "a present if you like" he told her and she smiled

"Thank you" she smiled hugging him tightly before he pushed her away enough to see her face but still have his arms around her

"Your welcome" he smiled back at her

"Shouldn’t I practice?" she asked

"Oh right yeah" he coughed as they pulled out of there hug "try and kill that dummy" he told her

"Uh okay" she said before going to it and stabbing it though the heart then slitting its throat

"Uh okay" he said a bit shocked "are you sure you’ve never used a sword before?" he asked her

"No never" she smiled

"Yet your better than me" he sighed they both laughed and he gave her his bow and an arrow but after a few misfires and Jamiey almost losing his head they both decided it was bad idea.

Once they had done more practice they returned to the main part of the city just as Abbigale was coming out the tree

"Good morning Melody, you two was up fairly late" she smiled

"Yeah, it stays dark in Mithrilida for a lot longer than it does up here" Melody smiled

"I suppose, acatec is so high we get the sun almost all the time" Abbigale explained

"Jamiey, Work!" Lavender yelled at him from the garden

"oh sorry girls, I'll see you later Abbigale, Melody" he smiled giving Melody’s hand a kiss before he went off to work Abbigale couldn't help but smirk at him

"I should really ask Abbigale How Acquainted is you with your powers?" Melody asked as they began to walk around the city

"Fairly well, I got here didn’t I?" she smiled

"True, But say I ask how well you were with it?" she asked

"I would say around 6 out of 10, what about yourself Melody?"

"Uh, Maybe a 2? my Grandmother taught me a lot as a child without me really understanding what it was, but I have trouble outside of water, I haven’t really tried much though" Melody explained

"Oh you’re Grandmother? Sissillia?" Abbigale asked

"yeah, how do you know?” she asked

"acatec is the city of scholars and of course we kept the family trees for the fallen children, except fire... but we kept the trees they are huge now, well you look back none of ours are direct descendants, but I did look over them before I came Sissillia has lived an impressively long life" Abbigale explained as they walked

"She did...she passed just before I left home" Melody replied gravely

"Oh... I’m so sorry Melody" Abbigale said putting her arm on Melody’s shoulder to comfort her

"It’s okay, we all must pass as you said she lived a long life" Melody sighed they stayed quiet as they walked for a little while

"How long have you been in Valentina then?" Abbigale asked

"Not long only a few days" Melody answered

"Oh...and when did you meet Jamiey?" she asked

"First day, he was guarding the outside of the forest when I arrived" Melody explained

"Are you and him?" she asked

"Are we what Abbigale?" Melody asked

"Well, he did kiss your hand" she giggled

"Oh that? Oh no that’s just him I think" Melody replied

"He didn’t do it to me, nor have I seen him do it to anyone else" Abbigale smiled

"What are you hinting at here?" she asked

"Can you honestly not tell?" Abbigale asked almost completely stopping by the gardens

"I guess not as I have no idea what it is your talking about Abbigale" Melody sighed

"Can’t you see it in the way he looks at you, Jamiey obviously likes you" Abbigale told her

"Oh? I Didn’t Notice honestly" Melody shrugged

"Relax Melody, I have no interest in Jamiey, I’m pretty sure his heart is set on you anyway, no need to worry" Abbigale laughed

"What are you talking about?" Melody asked

"You do understand how this works right?" Abbigale asked and Melody simply shook her head "the four Mina's earth, fire, air and water open the palace of Mina's and return their element and peace to this world, but then their children with have the power of both parents elements and will rule over rejoining the bonds of the people and at last their child will rule as high king or queen, we aren’t the rules of this world, our grandchild will be, and as far as I can tell fire will be a man too, so...we have choice, but I’m pretty sure Jamiey has it heart set on you" Abbigale explained

"Oh....I forgotten about all that" Melody sighed

"Don’t Worry, I try not to think about it myself" Abbigale replied

The girls continued wondering around chatting about nothing much just family and cities both as intrigued as the other till it began to get rather dark but people where on edge as a shadow grew closer it was spotted at the edge of the forest with an early red glow every forest dweller was scared, terrified even as they knew within a few hours the fine Mina would be within their city many of the people in and around the city didn’t want to sleep that evening in case they awoke to a pile of ash and dust where they houses had been. When suddenly a clocked man appeared in the opening of the city a sword on his back and his face completely covered he came to the gate the man said "who goes there. Friend or foe “he asked shaking as he said it

"I would say foe. But I have been summoned on direct business with your lord. Let me pass" a slight voice answered from deep in the hood

"I demand sir that you state your business and show your face sir." the man asked still scared from the voice as if it shook his silvery soul

“You can demand nothing of me, Elian" the voice answered angrily

"Sir I must insist that you state your business and reveal your face" the man said almost stuttering with fear

"some kind never learn." the voice said with that suddenly the man took of a glove from on hand and griped the man's shoulder and he burst into flames the man then turned to face the city and the tree he sent a shape like a fire dragon up to a high branch it fell like an avalanche on to the city below many people ran screaming from it as he continued to do so Jamiey, Melody Abbigale came out "do something" Melody shouted

"What do you want us to do we are helpless against fire" Jamiey said worried

"I can’t, if anything I'll make it worse" Abbigale replied in panic

Melody didn’t know what to do she thrust her hand out and screamed "STOP!" and the man was trapped in a bubble of water she moved her hand back and he fell back to the ground wet and coughing

"You are here on peaceful business not acts of war... you will reveal your face here" Melody said very diplomatically

Jamiey stood in fear behind Melody

"Very well, but I do this in definite that this is will be for as long as I am here a place of peace." he answered, he removed his cloth's from his face he was a man with very dark skin his whole body large and muscular his long hair going from red at the top too orange and yellow at the bottom the same for his rough beard his clothes where all red with black amour all over him he scowled at Melody and Jamiey and stepped into the cave's below the tree "this is gonna go well isn’t it" Jamiey sighed after that incident they all went to bed trying to get some rest Jamiey bidding Melody Goodnight as usual. When Melody Woke Jamiey was at her door leaning on the door frame smirking at her "morning" she smiled sitting up

"Morning, we have a meeting down with Abbigale and Samual soon you should hurry" he told her

"Oh so that’s his name, how'd you find that out?" she asked

"I didn't, Abbigale did, they were chatting almost all night" he explained as he looked away as Melody got out of bed and slipped her overdress on and letting the flower work on putting her hair back up before they wondered down to the throne room together all four stood silently for a few moments

"well" Abbigale coughed "it is possible we could return to the palace, but it’s up to us" she explained "it would mean going forever, it would mean, leaving our families, it would mean a life controlling your element but it would mean we have a chance to save the world" she explained

"Who could say no to the dominion of their element and peace to the island" Samual said bluntly

"I doubt now I have a family, This Is what my family wanted, of course I will" Melody explained

Jamiey stayed quiet

"Jamiey?" Melody asked

"I uh....I don’t know" he shrugged

"just make up your mind flower boy, you coming with us or are you going to wait here in your little inbreed village forever" Samual spitted Jamiey stood for a moment thinking tears welling up in his eyes before he simply ran out the room Samual shrugged and Abbigale looked very confused so Melody ran after him "Jamiey, Jamiey! Jamiey?" she yelled trying to find him till she spotted the earth itself lightly cracking so she ran following the cracks in the earth till he was sat looking very, very upset "oh Jamiey" she said sitting with him and holding him close "what’s wrong?" she asked

"I didn’t know this would mean leaving Valentina forever, I don’t want to leave, this is the only place I’ve ever known" he explained wiping the tears from his eyes

"I know how you feel Jamiey, we have to make sacrifice’s to save the world, but is there really that much here for you to leave behind" she explained

"This is my world" he sighed "and she is all I have, I can’t leave here, I can’t leave her"

"her?" she asked him he smiled lightly at Melody taking her hand and slowly leading her though the city pasted the tree and behind it into the forest behind it past many plants that looked like they had been growing for many, many years till they reached a stone with a beautiful woman craved onto coming out the grown beside it was a huge, huge tree that almost reached the height of the whole city so many flowers and ivy had grown there both coming from the stone itself and then a lot from in front of it Jamiey sat in front of it looking very sad and Melody sat beside him before she read the stone "daisy" she read

"Daisy Acacia HoneyLocust, my mother" he explained "she was where I got this from" he said removing his glove and letting the grass and flowers around him grow "she was our last generations Mina and Valentina's last princess" he explained

"What about your uncle? Surely he would be royal?" she asked

"no he’s a step uncle, she was the last of royalty in Valentina and the last Mina, she knew when I was born the Mina blood was in me I made ivy grow around my crib, she taught me to manipulate what I could do make the flowers grow, crops grow back and such, told me I wasn’t a freak and that I had a purpose in this world, to keep Valentina alive" he explained "I can’t leave her, if I go the flowers will die everything will die"

"But if we succeed the world will grow, all of it not just this little city Jamiey, the world green and growing again, she wouldn’t have taught you for no reason" she explained taking his hand

"But... I don’t want to leave her, I won’t ever see her again" he cried

"Jamiey, she was the last princess of this land, your her son, you have the power she had, the power she gave to you, she would be thrilled you use it to save everything, as long as you use them for good, she will always be with you"

"I miss her so much, there is so much she never taught me" he sighed "so much she never told me"

"She properly wanted to Jamiey, you just grew too fast for her to keep up" she smiled

"Do you really think this is what she wanted me to do?" he asked

"I’m sure of it Jamiey" she smiled taking a flower that was growing from use below the stone and putting it in his pocket "she will always be with you, a part of her is forever a part of you" she explained

"And what if we fail?" he asked

"Then she will be happy you tried" she smiled picking his head up by his chin he smiled back at her

"Thank you Melody" he smiled

"Your welcome Jamiey" she giggled pressing a tiny kiss to his lips and getting up taking his hand leading him back to the city and back to the throne room with the others

"So we are agreed we will go, we will visit each place to say goodbye and such then to the palace, when should we go?" Abbigale explained

"After the festival, it does only in a few Days and it will give us time to work on getting better with our abilities" Jamiey suggested

"Of course the festival of solis, yes we will leave after the festival" Abbigale smiled Samual agreed

"What festival?" Melody asked rather unsure

"The festival of solis I’m sure Jamiey will explain, as for now, I’m going to rest" Samual sighed before wondering off Abbigale went off into the city for something to eat

"So? What is this festival?" Melody asked

"Come on Melody, it’s a long story" he told her tugging on her hand and taking her back to her room.
