the city was silent on this crisp spring morning the sun not yet hung in the sky and people and animals not yet awake still holding on to the deep iterance of sleep until early in the morning people came from their homes they rubbed their eyes and some went to the edges of the forest some to the roads in the city within 30 minutes the whole city was about with people from far and wide all around putting up old moth eaten and cobwebs covered flags of the forest flags across the city and ribbons of all the colors of the rainbow early that morning Jamiey went to see Melody in her room.

“Hello, what are you doing in side during such a celebration?” Jamiey asked

"Well I don’t really know, much about it and it’s your world celebration, I’ll just stay here if it’s okay" she shrugged

"Melody is you alright?" he asked

"I guess I just miss my family" she shrugged seeming sad so Jamiey sat with her on her bed taking her hands

"Oh Mel I wish I could help" he sighed pulling her into a hug

"It’s okay, I’ve never really been one for this sort of thing" she sighed

"Well, it’s always there if you want to come down" he smiled at her

"Yeah, you go have fun" she smiled

"okay, I'll save you a dance I promise" he smiled kissing her hand before going down into the city Samual seemed to be keeping to himself not wanting to be around anyone Abbigale was with a lot of the children showing them cute little tricks and such to make them giggle Melody stood on her balcony looking down on the dancing people and the festivities till much, much later in the day she spotted Jamiey dicing with a little girl it made her giggle so she decided to go down for a while Melody walked down the stairs and out into the forest land to see everyone having their party many people seemed happy to see her as almost all of them knew now who she was she moved though the people greeting both Abbigale and Samual as she past them till she spotted Jamiey inside the crowd with a little girl in his arms she was tiny couldn’t have been over five with little ginger curls in her hair and a crown on her head made of daisy’s spinning her around and dancing with her Melody stepped over to Jamiey as he once again spun her high in the air "weee" she screamed happily as he spun her in the air till he put her feet back on the floor kneeling to be at her level till he spotted Melody his eyes lighting up just seeing her "okay roise go find mummy, I’m gonna go dance with Melody a little okay" he told her sweetly but she just looked sad before he whispered something in her ear and she giggled and Jamiey stood back up and came close to Melody "Hey" he smiled

"Hey" she smiled back both very nervous

"So uh do you want to dance?" he asked her and she smiled and nodded

"But I’m not sure I know how" she giggles

"it’s okay I’m not too sure either, all I know is" he said putting his hand on the small of her back pulling her so there wasn’t an inch between them Melody giggled seeing the little girl her arms crossed and she looked very mad "your still the best dancer roise" he told her making her giggle Jamiey then pulled Melody closer and they kinda danced it was more complicated and they didn’t do too well "what did you whisper to her?" Melody asked

"just something" he shrugged making her giggle more till the music stopped they kept their eyes on each other till Jamiey made Melody look up at the sky to watch the sun and moon dance in the sky

"It’s beautiful" she smiled

"Yeah it is, happens every year so you'll see it again" he smiled

"This place is so beautiful I wish I could stay here forever" she smiled

"As soon as our jobs done we can" he told her

"What makes you so sure we will come back?" she asks

"I like to hope" he shrugged so she giggled and held him tighter

"okay you hope, were coming back" she smiled pressing a tiny kiss to his lips making him blush like crazy and smile widely holding her tightly back after the party died down Jamiey walked Melody back to her room still keeping her close to him "it was wonderful Jamiey" she smiled at her door

"Yeah, uh Mel could I ask you something?" he asked

"Sure what?" she asked

"Can I sleep with you tonight, I’m kinda worried about us leaving tomorrow and all" he said rather sadly

"okay, but don’t make a habit of it" she giggled letting him come in her room the two laying on her bed cuddled together to stay warm.

when Melody woke the sun hadn’t even risen over the undergrowth of the city she noticed Jamiey wasn’t with her, there was no notes or anything but she knew where he was she slowly wondered down into the city the drew still on the grass as it seemed only her and Jamiey where awake she walked behind the city tree and walked the path Jamiey had lead her before and there he was hugging the tree at his mother’s stone and lightly crying

"Oh Jamiey" she said coming close to him and hugging him too but he didn’t move

"I don’t wanna go Melody" he cried

"I know, I know, but come on it’s for the best, remember we will come back won't we?" she asked

"yeah your right" he said sadly pulling his hands away from the tree to hug Melody eventually she lead him away by then the city was in full swing people everywhere they went to their rooms and packed the few things they had Jamiey of course taking much longer than most before everyone filled backpacks and bags before heading down to the city.
