It's bright sky with direct light coming from above, or what is it like seems to be. The light, is many, but dimmer than a sunlight. like light bulbs in the ceiling of a very huge room.

Beneath the rays stood a girl in army outfit with green and brown color mixture that makes her blend well in the woods or forested area, but unfortunately it is barren rocky place with grass sticking to the rocks. She has average teenage girl height with short gray ashen hair and big pretty yellow eyes. She has a pouch at her waist, along with a spear on her hand.

The girl had stern look on her face looking straight to the distance while holding the spear, there she saw a weird looking creature. It has a fur like bird, with black raven color in a ball shaped figure with two legs and one odd looking leg in the middle and one giant purple eye with long sharp beak right beneath it.

The creature keep pecking the grass on the rock ignoring the girl, unaware there's two other people hiding nearby. The soldier looking girl waving her hand as a signal and the two ambushed the creature with a net and capture it.

But the creature is presistent. It pushes the net, pulling one of the people closer to it. The guy who got pulled grabs a knife from his back and tries to stab the creature.

"Stop!!" The other person suddenly shout at him

He then stopped the attack and keep pulling the net again. But he froze after realised how close the creature is next to him, staring him with its big eye. He can see trhough everything from the creature eye, It's anger, pain and fear. The creature then manage to rip the net and 'peck' him right in the left shoulder,it pierced like paper with pen.

"Aaaaahhh!!" The guy screamed in pain while dropping his knife.

"Hold up!" Said the other person while trying to pull the creature using the net.

Just when the creature about to attack again, a spear was trhown from distance and hit it's big eye. Alot of tears-like liquid bursting instead of blood as the creature shrieking in pain, the soldier girl finish it with knife the other guy dropped, after trhowing the spear. The knife stabbed right on the creatures belly, It spraying red liquid this time.

"Hurry wrap the wound! Use the creature eye as treatment!" She said immediately.

"...Right!"

The other person grab the spear and pull it out from the creatures eye, then ripped their clothe and soak it with liquid pouring from inside of the eye while occasionally slipped their hand in panic.

"Hurry up!"

Said the the soldier girl, which then proceed to grab the coated cloth and put it in the guy arm herself.

"Guaaaaaaagh!!!"

The guy screamed loudly then later pass out. The bird make quite a hole in his shoulder, it's bleeding badly, but the liquid from the cloth seems to make bleeding 'magically' stopped. The liquid turns out into steam once it applied, like its evaporating after touching the skin. She then lay him next to the rock beneath it's shadow and then sighed.

"What happened? I thought you two already good at this?" Ask the soldier girl.

"I'm so sorry Vali, but this one is unexpectedly stronger than we've thought."

The other person answer the soldier looking girl which named "Vali" while panting. The person looks pale and shock with what's happening, feeling guilt trying to catch the creature alive, ignoring the safety of the other guy. The person wearing many pads for protection also scarf and helmet. By the look of it, theres no injuries on them.

"Even then this is weird, isn't this net meant to be super strong? how can it ripped just like that?" Said the girl named Vali.

"That i don't know."

The creature has high bounty alive, especially the eyeball and the odd third leg since it can be used as medicine. Vali then uses her knife to cut off the odd leg and get as much eye liquid as she can fit in her pouch.

"These won't last long if the creature died, but the odd leg might still have value. If we hurry back now we might able to sell this"

The other person looks at Vali with face expression changed indicated their worry about the guy condition. The person wanted to ask Vali "Shouldn't we rescue him first?" But the word wont came out after looking at Vali stoic face. It almost like she was saying "I don't care about him".

"Vali.."

"Yes i know, we need to save him first. But the creature itself is also a medicine, therefore we might can sell it at hospital or infirmary"

Suddenly relieved by her reaction the person then said "So.. two bird one stone?"

"It's not exactly the time to make joke... but I'm not gonna carry him you know?"

"Right.. sorry, Don't worry though i will carry him!"

The person was feeling at fault at the incident so they feel more relieved after Vali let them to carry the guy body, even though slow and occasionally stumble. Vali offer help after a while but the person insist of carrying him all the way.

Few hours later they arrived at city,the city has no gate or walls, but it surrounded by small nomads encampment at the front, with a lot of plants growing, mostly herbs and behind the city, a huge wall-like mountain stretched upwards as far eyes can see. There's people all over and some guards patrol, Vali and the person explain the situation and was able to enter the town.

"After you enter the town though 'there' go to the alley at the left, you'll find infirmary" Said one of the guard while pointing big main road at the middle of the town entrance.

When they entered the town without wasting time they visits infirmary that the guards told them. They met a doctor with a weird smile, and after quick introduction the doctor started to do a proper treatment to the guy.

After few hours the doctor tell about the guy condition that he is okay, but wont be able to use his left hand for quite long time. They then leave the guy at the infirmary and headed to trading places. They was able to sell the leg, unfortunately the liquid eye isn't usable anymore so they had to give up on that.

Vali had serious look on her face, different than normal stoical face she had - she's not in a very good mood. Not because of expired liquid nor odd leg that sold very cheaply or even the costly pay for the guy treatment, but had to find a new partner for hunting.

"Vali cheer up! three silver coins (Note: 1 silver coin is worth 10 copper coins.) is indeed very low, even for a dead one... But, at very least Domy is okay now, even though a lot bad things happened today."

Vali looks down and wrinkle her eyebrows.

"...Domy?"

"Uh.. our guy member name?"

"Oh right"

"You really shouldn't forgot your own teammates name..."

"Right.. what's your name again?"

"You kidding...?"

Looking deep at Vali dead eyes the person notice "This girl really don't know my name after weeks of teaming together"

"Ah well... you can call me Hemeth"

"...Hemeth?"

"Yeah!"

Vali took a closer look at Hemeth, Hemeth have a small figure and barely reach Vali shoulder in height. Hemeth wearing armor-like clothing with kneepads, arm pads, gloves and a google covering their eyes. Hemeth also use pretty cool shiny silver helmet with a 'fire sigil' on it, the helmet also had flashlight attached just like a miner helmet.

"I assume the name is from your helmet..?"

"Correct!"

"... Well nice to meet you Hemeth I'm Vali Forth."

"Oh.. your full name?"

"Yes."

"I see..."

Hemeth wanted to tell Vali that its actually the real name, but it seems she's not bothered whether its real or fake name so Hemeth chooses to kept it as it is for now. "I really thought she was going to upset or something about it,  but seems its just me i guess."

While looking upwards Vali waiting for response and kept thinking over and over. "Didn't i just even told her my family name? Is it not a polite way of asking others to gave their name? Why Hemeth didn't say anything yet!?" "Well... whatever."

The two keep walking at the town searching for place to resupply and finding a new member. After some time Hemeth notice something strange, all of the people there ever since they arrived their gazes is fixated not on the badly injured guy, but on soldier looking girl. It's as if they seeing something strange or weird or even scary, since some of them even go as turning their back with pale faces.

"Vali..?"

"Hmm?"

"Have you ever been here before?"

"Yes"

"Did you do something bad?"

"Not as I recalled."

"I see..."

Vali look around her seeing the people, some of them startled some of them avoiding eye contacts and there's weird one that kept looking strangely.

"Well if you wonder about these people acting weirdly, maybe they just wondering what I'm wearing."

"Oh right, I always wonder about it too.. its kinda odd. What is it anyway?"

"It's something I've found on the 'Surface'."

"How..? Exactly? the surface is Toxic."

"I can't tell you that for now."

"Some other time then?" Hemeth gave up right away, knowing Vali has a hard personality and a strict person. Then start trying to figure what's the clothing for.

"It does have alot of pockets"

"Yes, it became very handy for me when picking up stuff."

"The green brown color mixture is intriguing."

"Not really, I figured its only for camouflage."

"Camouflage? but the color is kinda easy to look at."

"I'ts not for hiding around here."

"hee..."

"..."

"It's ripped and dirty too, you really should use something else."

"..."

"Besides it might still toxic right?"

"It's not."

"How you can tell? its from Surface afterall."

"I'ts fine."

"Really? maybe you should washed it first, it looks very dirty too anyway."

"..."

Hemeth keep bombing question to Vali's clothing until she suddenly stopped and point her finger at a building.

"Look."

In front of them lies a building with word "Dormitory" on its sign, its a dull horrifying dormitory probably for bad children or low level villain.

"You're going to find new member THERE?"

"If you keep this up I'll put you THERE."

"..."

"There's bar over there we should ask for info for supplies and recruit."

"Yeah about that.. I think it's better if we wait until he woke, its not good to just replace him without his consent. Besides we're not in a hurry right now, might as well took our time here right?" Said Hemeth with anxious face.

"No, its better if we sort this faster."

"One day! at least give him a day."

With changed expression on her face Vali even more insisted than Hemeth, Almost like she going to leave herself and form new group.

"We'll still searching new member today, and start work things up tommorow 'IF' he woke. I sorry for...'him' but,even then he himself probably won't be any useful with that injuries so we still need his replacement."

"S-sure.."

"Let's go."

"Vali."

"What?"

"You already forgot his name didn't you?"

"He's Tony."

"DOMY."
