"Bonnie!" I cried as I jammed my face in to her chest.
"Ouch!" Bonnie cried.
Lyrical laughed, "You really need to work on that shape of yours, Bonnie. Especially if you're going to become a model." Lyrical said scornfully .
"I do so have a shape! I'm just still developing, that's all."
"No, talk of development at the dinner table!" Florence said as he came in through the front door. Florence kissed my mother's forehead, but she looked annoyed as he did.
I saw their exchange and asked myself, "Why is she so angry at Florence lately? Maybe its just pregnancy mood swings?"
"How was your day?" Florence asked, sitting at the table.
I smiled. "Good."
I never got mad at Florence because of his kind and gentle voice that still made me blush. Florence is a fashion designer , the CEO of Crunchy Panda, hence Lyrical's job.
The dinner table was quiet, so I addressed my step-siblings, "I was with Melody and Chase." I said to Lyrical and Bonnie.
Bonnie's eyes sparkled.
"Chase Yukijuki, or whatever the heck his name is?" Lyrical asked, annoyied upon hearing his name. I frowned. "You know Chase and don't like him?" I asked.
Lyrical shrugged.
"He's annoying when you get to know him." Bonnie put her hands on her hips, then gave Lyrical a knowing look.
"You're just jealous. And it's Yukishiro not Yukijuki!" With that topic, we began to talk about work and school. My mother looked displeased, but I was still angry with her, so I didn't ask. I cleared my throat,"How do you know Chase, Lyrical?" I asked suddenly,
"We're in the same class."
Bonnie sighed. "Lucky."

"Bernardette, I must speak with you."
My heart sank. Monarchy looked very serious. He lead me way in the back of the center where Miss Amy's office is.
"Mr. Armstrong asked me to remove you and Lyrical from our club." Monarchy said, gravely
My eyes moistened...
"Fortunately, I plan on keeping you two here."
"W-why?" My heart felt like it pumped sparkles. I felt so important.
"Lyrical has been on our club for 6 years now, I can't let him go because of some grudge against you.”
“A grudge against me…?”
Monarchy ignored my question and continued,
"Provided you practice harder, I may be able to convince him to keep the two of you."
I nodded my head.
"Why are you telling me and not Lyrical?"
"His pride might tell him otherwise." He said as he walked the other direction. I came back to the ice and saw Lyrical practicing. I felt terrible that my childhood idol may get his dream taking away, because of me
------------------------------------------------------
I was 15 years old with no friends. I was tired of being alone.
"I can do this."
It was the weekend and I was sitting on my bed, staring at my cellphone with fear. I dialed Melody's number and my pulse quickened as I listen to the dial tone.
"Hello?" I hear the phone say. It was Chase!
"Is Melody home?" I asked.
"Yeah-"
"Ask who is calling, Junpei!" A woman shouted with a Japanese accent.
"Uh...Who's calling?" Chase asked,
"B-Bernardette Royal."
"Oh! She's up stairs. Hold on a second." I heard him run up stairs.
"Hello?"
I smiled weakly, "Hi...-"
"Hi, Bernadette! How are you?" Melody said happily.
"Okay. Sorta." I said nervously.
She then went on and on about her and Chase and how much fun they have every day. I didn't say anything. I just listened.
After she ran out of things to talk about, an awkward silence formed; one that I was too experienced to break.
"Do you have any siblings?" She asked finally.
"I have two step-siblings. And a cat, but I guess he doesn't count..."
When ever I mentioned his name, my cat, Prince Royalty, always came and sit on my lap. He looks like Royalty, with his white fluffy fur and bright green eyes. My Father gave him to me before he passed away. "To continue the conversation, should I tell her about Prince Royalty?" I completely disregarded that thought.
"Oh! Sorry, I have to go now. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
My voice shakes." Um...bye."
I flopped back on my bed. Though I could tell she was tired of talking to me, I appreciated it.
I felt really brave. "I'm going out." I hear lyrical say from door stairs.
"Almost brave enough to have told him." I thought as I ran out of my room the front door. I grabbed my coat and ran after him. I knew I shouldn't tell him, but...I couldn't have kept that secret.
