Hundreds of thousands of years have passed since the last time anyone talked about the Five Energy Sources, which ages ago were crucial to the development of the space technology, and now, all this time later the new generations begin to start hearing about them. About their roles in the Great War, about how Neo Terrans tried to use them to obliterate all worlds controlled by humans.
Their eventual defeat in the Sacred Field and their second later defeat in Rogokan led their remains to flee off the human controlled territories, abandoning everything they had, and in many cases leaving destruction and death at their retreat.
The one known as the Last Neo Terran, held in Madanbelle prison was one of the former commanders of the great army that tried to wipe out humanity off the universe along with any other races that would oppose to them.
No other thing about this powerful being was known, despite his origin which even in this situation has yet to be figured out.
The discovery of the presence of the Brionac in the deep places of this planet was what makes all countries to begin their movements, especially Al Maghrib, which found in this current situation the perfect excuse to deploy Protocol Jaeger, which, by this time was in its startup stage.
The information ran just as fast as the water of the great rivers, hitting each corner of this small planet, and now everyone were fully aware of the risk this would bring to the peace.
The main problem was to keep all other armies out of the security zone of Madanbelle, which was about to be sieged by the powerful forces sent from Al Maghrib, that were relatively close no matter if they were sent or not.
The Fürer ordered his forces to maintain an enclosure at a safe distance and moving on the neutral territories to avoid engaging with the armies of the other three countries at all cost, only a little spark will be enough to unleash all the fury.
The leaders of the remaining countries ordered their forces not to move by any motif, they as well would want to avoid a blood bath, and however, the neutral armies in Madanbelle were instructed to open fire in case any of the countries’ forces were to attack them.
Inside the lowest level of the prison, the APB’s seemed to be quite altered by no reason, especially APB-0431, the biggest in size of all; that was having rage attacks like a wild beast out of control.
While this was happening, the Neo Terrans was there, sitting in that cold floor of his cell waiting patiently to see how humans made the terrible mistake of attacking each other.
-I bet the Fürer of Al Maghrib will be the first one on mobilizing his armies to siege the wastelands…
-Milady? -Asked one of her maidens. –Does something worry you?
-A few, my darling; it worries me that some people would want to cause a war over something that probably doesn’t exist anymore…
-Do you mean… this famous Brionac you talked about earlier?
-Yes indeed my darling, it is surprising those thing of legends still exist in this time, at least I never knew I would live long enough to see something like that… -Skyla then took a sip of cold tea her maiden poured for her.
-Will you leave us if thing would go horrible as ages ago? -The maiden asked nervously.
-Im afraid I will have to, this is something that cannot be ignored at all, if anything should happen, it will concern everyone, even the neutrals in the wastelands, and again, if anything should happen they will be the first ones to suffer the disaster…
-How are you so sure something bad will happen? –The maiden asked again while pouring some more tea.
-Because during the Great War all the most dreadful disasters were caused by these five devices, humans, Neo Terrans and all other races were driven into madness by these things… -The Queen replied.
Both women kept talking long and paced, Skyla shoed to be very benevolent to her people, just by talking to a common maiden cared for the daily chores in the palace as many others, she indeed was a caretaking Queen.
Mudahash was one of the most peaceful countries of all, despite the Queen’s authority was absolute, and she showed herself as a kind person to her people in all aspects, her initial plan was to retreat all her troops if anything would go wrong in the wastelands and to act as a support force for anyone who needed it.
All of her royal palaces scattered across the realm were used as citadels for thousands of people, and since she had no family, she actually had no use for all that resources, so she decided to live in Bok-Mantu in the smallest of all palaces.
It was pretty close to the base of the Great Bridge, so she was well aware of the situation of her boys and girls in the wastelands.
Skyla went out of the palace accompanied by her maiden, who was walking right behind her, waiting for any order from her Queen. She headed to one of the colorful street markets in the nearby city.
She was cherished by all her people, and as she walked down the streets many people got close to her not only to greet her but to accompany her as well.
The maiden behind her bought some things as they both kept their way towards the coast of Bok-Mantu.
That day, despite of the wastelands, was pretty clean, peaceful and enjoyable, and the Queen decided to take some relaxation time in the clean waters of the coast of the lake.
-Milady… May I ask for permission to speak freely? –The maiden asked, and got immediately surprised by Queens’s answer.
-Dianna, you don’t have to be formal while addressing to me… Just say anything you want to say… -Skyla smiled at her.
Dianna, the young maiden just blushed a little and asked again.
-Can I see my brother one more time?
-Your brother? Oh!! I remember; Peter Banner is your older brother right? –She clapped when reminded herself of that man.
-Yes… -Dianna answered.
-Well my darling, you can go anytime you want, in fact, he is now in the base of the Great Bridge, so, and you can take a ship in the docks and wait for him in the nearby town… Why don’t you go now? I will wait for you to come back whenever you are ready…
After a pair of courtesies, Dianna left and went to the nearby dock while bursting into tears of happiness for the kindness of her Queen.
Skyla remained long hours there, alone, enjoying the peace of the great lake of Bok-Mantu, looking at the fishing boats in the distance, and some military ships guarding the outer coasts of the great lake.
That peaceful country was beautiful despite their impressive technological advance based in electric energy, despite their neighbors which still were using oil and gas, Skyla managed to create a clean country, which thanks to this advancement had become one of the cleanest grounds in the planet…
Meanwhile, in the other side of the lake and the base of the Great Bridge…
Commander Banner was leading back one of the few expeditions coming back from the wastelands, they were pretty smashed since they found some resistance coming from the native mutant creatures inhabiting one of the nearby cities.
They had plenty of casualties from that battle and didn’t manage to secure the zone completely, and Commander Banner was planning to make another incursion into the battlefield.
Back into the base beneath the Great Bridge, Banner tossed his sword away and sat in the green fresh grass along many of his wounded men.
They all were exhausted despite coming into the transport units, but still exhausted and terrified for what they saw.
-Those creatures know something is coming up… I can feel it too… -He said while lying down in the grass.
-What is it, Commander? Something’s off? –One of his lesser officers said.
-Yes… Something is altering the beast’s behavior so badly; they can feel something is really off, I can tell it by the way they attacked us; that is a normally clamed zone but this time… this time everything went wrong…
Banner reported to the commissioned officers who immediately transferred their information to their H.I.D (Homeland Intel Division) to file and prepare the next movements for the recently armed battalions.
He saw then a small transport ship surfing the water at top speed, it was getting closer to the outer coast docks.
-Now what is that? –He asked…
Skyla on the other hand, was having a calmed time by the edge of the lake, looking at the crystal water, remembering some things from her days as a student.
-The Five Energy Sources… The Ring, Vortex, Zefiris, the Twin Blades and Brionac, only handicapped by heavy machinery or extremely strong living beings, The Great War saw only one person being able to handle one of those five with no problem… Blade Master Aranza… I think we have finally found someone with her same power… Let’s just hope whoever can handle such power don’t use it to destroy this world...
Mudahash tend to have a calmed environment even within its armies, who only engaged enemies if necessary; and concentrated only in their self defense due to their geographical location.
The plain grounds from this country allowed everyone to see the huge sandstorms of the wastelands, giving a quite overwhelming panorama.
Skyla kept resting alone, the clean wind was blowing to the western regions, and the sunny day made it perfect for many hundreds of people to visit the lakes…
-Things will get interesting…
Hours passed and the Queen remained there, the sunset was announcing the beginning of the night, and she decided to go back to her palace.
The government of Landia decided to stay back from interfering in the wastelands just as Al Maghrib would eventually do. The Great King decided to pull his army back from their occupied locations even during the night, and despite he had been informed about the unusual behavior of all the native creatures to the wastelands.
Panmelis, the Queen was checking the falling back of the army, taking good care for the path of their troops.
Their tactical advantage was the heights of Rokudaira, the huge; massive artificial platform was higher than the mountains and had a lot of important cities below it, which made Landia the country with the highest population.
His army by consequence was one of the biggest of all, but their lack of participation in the Great War was not that important, so they currently lacked some important experience in battle, for they only were supported in their numbers.
During years, the King decided not to invest in offensive stats for their armies, yet, taking advantage of Rokudaira he decided to protect all his country from the edges of the platform, with super heavy artillery and concentrating his army exclusively to defend their territories.
A small portion of their armies were completely trained for attack and offensive, and these armies were sent to the wastelands. Men of authentic bravery, a small yet powerful army ready for battle.
The King declared that none of his local armed forces would enter the wastelands if not the armies already placed there, so they will only act if threatened.
McDallen of Esmalfania was following the acting course of his companions from Mudahash and Landia, this action course of not interfering with Al Maghrib or the neutrals in Madanbelle.
After he left his country he became somewhat a pacifist, and tried not to exterminate the local creatures, instead, he and his armies tried to keep everything under control and order, six locations were hard to administrate in a smooth way, but he managed to keep his men under control.
They also were working to restore some of their occupied locations and to turn them into self defense locations, and one of the most important they captured was the Ancient Castle of Rundara, at the northwestern region of the wastelands, in the middle of the desert.
The man had his own plans to act in case of an emergency, and the Queen Merrow handed him some important data without telling the King she did so, as a sign of loyalty to one of her most powerful warriors.
-The first step is for us to secure the six locations and bring down all artillery as possible, but the main problem is Rundara, it is the most unprotected of all, maybe if we launch a roll call to Rokudaira they could help us maintain control of the entire facilities…
The man kept reading some information about the current situation in Madanbelle while his men were listening to him carefully.
-The Queen will keep Dullahan blinded for us for a while, that will buy some time for us to deploy all we need…
It was not a secret for the offensive forces that the actual king Dullahan was rather cruel and controller than his predecessors, and with these qualities managed to control the whole country as he pleased…
