Brionac Arc 1: The Rise of Blankett

Brionac Pt2

Brionac Pt2

Oct 10, 2017

Things in all four countries had starting moving, rather fast, and all the leaders were aware somehow about what was happening in Madanbelle and all along the wastelands…

Day by day the time passed along, until 2 months passed without any incident, until that day…

The first ones realizing these facts were the ministers of Mudahash, who let their Queen to know and plan the action course.

-Well my people, first of all we will maintain our territories in the wastelands, and keep the usual protection in the base of the Great Bridge, but the ships will remain in the inner docks until further orders… Everyone agrees to that? –She asked calmly.

Without hesitation everyone agreed, Skyla mostly didn’t have any issues with any of her personnel, her wise decisions led the country in a good way, but now a hard time was about to come, and her true will was about to be put into a test.

-You look very calmed, Milady… -Dianna said while behind her Queen.

-I must be calmed, if I fall to the fear everyone will get scared, and I won’t allow that… How was the meeting with your brother all that time ago?

The girl got a little nervous but in the end she answered.

-He has changed a lot since the last time I saw him, but he looks rather wasted, maybe because of being in the wastelands for so long; and he told me to stay safe…

-He told you well my darling… Make sure to stay as safe as possible, It will begin soon…

Al Maghrib was progressing ad speed of light, after 2 months from Jaeger deployment their main forces got new armament, especially the super tanks and the heavy mechanical armors to their elite soldiers.

40 thousand super tanks were to be deployed into the wastelands along with 2 millions battle mechanical armors divided into those staying in Al Maghrib and those sent into the wastelands.

An army only designed for entire offensive, an army created for war…

Thousands of soldiers were sent to Dallenbale marching on the Great Bridge, they were receiving cheers and greetings from all the people, and all this sudden march was due to only a single piece of information…

They were willing to wage war on those who had what they were looking for…

After weeks of cartographic studies of the wastelands territories, they managed to find 2 possible routes to enter the huge underground maze beneath Madanbelle…

One week ago, in Al Maghrib…

-Our researchers have discovered two entrances into the underground maze; we have a chance to claim the facilities and all of what they may have inside…

Since the authority of the Fürer could not be questioned by any means; the ministers had to accept anything he wanted to do, even if it was to lead their country into a war they might not be capable of winning.

Landia was the first one on realizing of this situation, simply by pointing their telescopes into Maghrib’s Great Bridge to the south, and they could see with all clarity how they were mobilizing a huge heavy armed force.

Since Al Maghrib’s Great Bridge had no side access points, the situation was obvious; they were directly heading to Madanbelle.

Anastasius, the Great King decided to launch a warning signal to Maghrib’s forces, but he made sure it was not an encrypted message, for anyone else in the continent could hear it.

Landia did nothing else that to launch that warning signal, expecting everyone else would prepare for an eventual fight…

The next who went aware of the current situation was the neutral army in the prison; who; by that time were far weaker than the now enhanced Al Maghrib’s army, clearly superior as in weaponry as in men and will.

The tactical disadvantage of Madanbelle was to be in the center of the wastelands, a mostly plain ground which could be spotted from any point of the four countries, but then something surprising happened.

The army at Al Maghrib’s Great Bridge deployed then a huge elevator system from one of the bridge’s pillars, big enough to place entire divisions and deploy them to the wasteland’s grounds.

That huge machinery was something nobody was aware of, even the neutral army which had a direct line of sight of the bridge, and minute by minute they saw how the gruesome Maghrib’s army was being sent into the wastelands and heading into one of the two cities occupied by their primary forces.

Isaacs and Linuss watched the deployment from their location, they breathed with relief when they realized it wasn’t an opened act of war against the neutrals, and actually everyone was feeling the same way.

Everyone was absolutely terrified, overall the neutral army in Madanbelle, that saw those huge tanks and all of those thousands of men wearing those strange armors…

The people of Esmalfania were watching with horror how the Fürer’s army was marching to the north, ignoring completely their occupied territories and Madanbelle; they were clearly heading to the northern region, to the territories controlled by Esmalfania, which led this government to put an ultimatum onto the Fürer’s armed forces.

King Dullahan of Esmalfania did not hesitate by launching this ultimatum, which simply was responded with a single message: “Surrender the Castle of Rundara”.

Andros, Al Maghrib’s Fürer was about to engage Dullahan of Esmalfania, who, full in anger decided to mobilize his first division into the wastelands and lead them personally to Rundara.

The deserted climate of the northwestern region was perfect for Esmalfanian army, which preferred strategy was to siege the enemy using wide spaces to move and charge forward the enemy.

Dullahan could trust his two commanders, Daves McDallen and Patrick Aspen, who were placed by that time in the occupied territories from the north region of the wastelands, but McDallen was near Bakkaara, so this left Aspen to take care of the defense while the King arrived.

Aspen was a powerful commander, specialized in frontal tactics; which was by far the best choice against the incoming wave of enemies.

But Al Maghrib’s army had a huge disadvantage, and this was the lack and failures in the development of advanced energy cells, which limited the mobility of his mechanized army through the desert. Besides this, their magic research stopped a little, so their arsenal was still limited.

The only ones by far that had access to their full magical arsenal were few men placed in the occupied territories, just like Linuss, Isaacs of the two Fürer’s bodyguards…

The mechanized march of Al Maghrib’s army was unstoppable, from the heights of the Great Bridge the rest of the army could see all the battalions moving fast from the bridge to the north.

The altered creatures were extremely hostile towards anyone non native from Dallenbale, but Maghrib’s army was more powerful and was way better armed, so all the monsters roaming in the wastelands were no match for them in their marching.

Their way to the north was plagued by an endless massacre of all kind of creatures that dared to step in their way.

At their travel rate they would be reaching Rundara within the next five days, which could give Esmalfania enough time to prepare a counterforce powerful enough to reject the attack.

Dullahan ordered the mobilization directly to the desert and go in straight line to Rundara, which would save them at least 3 days and could give them still enough time to get ready.

Aspen on the other hand, was already moving to Rundara, the man was the finest at strategy, and he had a clear plan on how to counter those new enemies from Maghrib.

He had at most 7 thousand men and a couple hundreds of artillery batteries moving already through the desert, they were lucky that no sandstorm was striking the region in that moment, so that allowed them to move faster…

-You were right Milady… Al Maghrib was the first one on making a movement…

-I don’t feel happy for this, they found something in Rundara that might led them to the Brionac, and they won’t matter at all if this unleashed a war…

Skyla was quietly watching the news broadcast from Mudahash News Network, which was broadcasting images of the Fürer’s armies moving towards Rundara.

-Will we enter the war, Milady? –Dianna asked.

-No, we won’t, not against our neighbors…

Skyla kept watching as some officers were preparing the mobile command center to set it up in the royal room of the Queen.

-Will… Will you lead the army advance from here, Milady?

-Yes, we have built these small command centers to operate wherever they’re set up, this is easy for us to command our troops, but for now we will make sure our men won’t move from their current location…

-We will focus on defense as always? –Dianna asked again.

-Yes my darling, we won’t move from here unless the enemy hit us first, I will not pass out to history as a Queen that mindlessly responded to a careless aggression…

-I agree, Milady…- The maiden answered while bowing a little to her Queen.

-I hope this would get solved soon… -The Queen whispered.

Madanbelle on the other hand was sunk into a crisis; they fell into desperation by seeing Al Maghrib’s army getting closer and then take a sudden deviation to the northern territories, and someone in the lowest level of the prison realized something.

-Something happened out there…- The voice said. Along with some other whispering in an unknown language coming from another of the sealed cells, those words were echoing in the huge cell block.

The guards thought it was nothing, so they really didn’t take any action on that, that monster which was in the smallest cell wasn’t considered a full threat due to the fact that this creature was blocked away from his main source of power, and this way he was nothing but a common mortal creature, just as like as the huge blue-skinned monster, which was separated from his own source of power as well.

Without them they were merely useless creatures, and the cell block was sealed with magic and other powerful devices to block body signals from these two powerful creatures…

The red eyed monster was just there, sitting in one place expecting the right moment to act and release himself and his companions.

In the Capital City of Al Maghrib, Andros, the Fürer declared to his people.

-The Castle of Rundara is the key to our victory!!! And if Esmalfania won’t surrender it to us then… WE WILL TAKE IT BY THE STRENGTH OF THE ARMS!!!!

The board is set and the pieces are moving… Now it is all a simple matter of time…
