When the spot was clean, Shadow let himself grow angry once more to get his eyes to go back to burning a dark red as he prepared to scare the seniors into running away. Then he swept his wings back dramatically to reveal the limp form of the unconscious teen in his hands to his friends nearby. He set the teen down gently on the ground before he started to clean his face with his hands and somewhat exaggerated, cat like motions while making sure the teen's friends got a clear view of what he was cleaning off and his teeth. He cleaned himself thoroughly before speaking.
"Mmmm, that certainly hit the spot.." Shadow said to them. Staying crouched, he turned to face the four and gave them a small sharp toothed grin.
"However, I am still very hungry... and you all look so very good.. Do I have any volunteers?" he said before licking his chops. All four of the seniors shook their heads at him in response as none of them wanted to be next on the menu.
"No? Then I suggest you start running." he told them as he folded his wings against his back and went from simply crouching to being down on all fours and looking ready to pounce. "After all I can only catch you one at a time…"
His words and actions had their desired effect on them as the teens began to scramble backwards and away. To encourage them to go faster and not look back, he sprung at them in mock charge with a deep growl and they began to run. In a matter of moments, they were gone.
Shadow winced inwardly as he watched them flee into the night in terror. He hated doing things like this mainly because it was so out of character for him. He wasn't much for talking even when he was calm but speaking to his prey in order to scare it just felt wrong to him and made him feel dirty. He'd much rather growl and snap at them like the predator he was than acting like some human psychopath--which he was most defiantly not. It was true he was a monster, he just wasn't that kind of a monster.
When he could no longer sense them, he let his eyes go back to their normal white glow and turned around before heading back to where he had left the first teen. Marlene still stood nearby the boy with her friend. She was also still trying to get Gracie to respond to her too, but the girl was still frozen in fear of him. He remained on all fours as he slowly approached so he wouldn't frighten her further, but it was in vain. All it did was snap her out of her shocked trance.
"Marlene! Run!" Gracie screamed at her friend before following her own advice. She ran from the spot and left her friend behind, not knowing that Shadow had no intention of harming either of them.
