Roses family each stared at her as if they knew something she didn't. Which they did. She sat there in silence and after finishing her meal her father spoke. "Today a Duke and Duchess and there children docked into town today.". "And?" She asked while finishing the last scrap of food left on her plate.".There oldest is your betrothed. Which means you are engaged.". The expression on roses face couldn't be described with words. "WHAT!!" she screamed while standing up and knocking back the chair she was sitting in.

"Rose calm yourself and sit down." Rose's father said with an impatient tone.    "You never told me I was betrothed. Plus i'm not ready for marriage. I dot even know him!!!" She screamed back at him. "You will get to know him. You will adjust to it. Now sit down.". Rose looked at her brother then her mother but neither of them offered any help. "NO! you talk like its your life that's over before its begun." then she stomped up the stairs into her room and locked the doors. There she cried until there were no more tears left, but couldn't stop thinking about Ahyoka.

The next morning Rose got dressed in a baby blue casual knee length dress with lace sleeves. Once she was done she quietly crept out of her room and down the stairs. After grabbing her boots she bolted out of the town and ran onto the path that leads to Ayhoka's village. 

When she first made it she called out for Ayhoka but when she didn't answer she knew she wasn't there. There was a soft breeze that was pleasant to roses skin. She didn't know when but after waiting for about ten minutes she fell asleep. But when she was falling asleep she whispered " I can't marry him. I can't"
