I enjoyed setting up, though in consideration for your time, I will spare you details. While it brings me great joy to set up, it may inflict great pain to someone reading a description of someone immensely enjoying something so out of their reach.
That will be the last sad paragraph I write.
Setting up early was a good idea. The stage was not yet set, and the lights were all off, save for the one little bulb in the room I was in, a special solace that my friends lovingly call 'the clubhouse'.
I, on the other hand, am in love with it's futuristic and vibrant aesthetic. When it is all lit up and pulsing with electrical energy, I respect and admire the way it always works so dependably, and so call it by it's proper name, the Mixer Room.
I have capitalized the name of this place because it is an important place to me, and you will soon get to know this Mixer Room as if it were your very own.
A knock on the door shakes me out of my daydreams. Everything is very compact amd close together in the Mixer Room, so I lean back in my seat as far as possible, to reach out and turn the doorknob. My ears perk up at the sound of the lock clicking, followed by the soft creak of the door being pushed open. A door makes a wonderful sound that I enjoy. You must look out- or listen out for the sound of the door opening next time.
When people ask me why nothing interesting ever seems to happen, I say, why, you must not be paying attention to the melodies that doors make! Of course, I don't just stop there. If I did, they would look at one another say, 'Something did happen! I just met an oddball.'
Most adults need explaining to when it comes to matters like these, or you'll leave them at a loss. And when you leave them at a loss, they begin to gossip! I explain to them that they need to take up the hobby of sightseeing. It freshens up your thoughts, and your conversation, and you will find that your need to talk about and to other people will diminish. Sometimes it will even help you to predict the future, if you are observational enough.
For myself, I am a seasoned sightseer. In fact, I have completely neglected to tell you about the person who has just walked into the Mixer Room! We have completely forgot about him, because there are so many things that are far more interesting!
