“I-I'm sorry.” Sarah said. “I shouldn't have brought it up. It was rude of me to ask, and go into your personal business. If you don't want to talk to me anymore, I understand.”
“look, kid. it's okay. i honestly really wanted to tell someone, to get this burden off my chest. even papyrus doesn't remember our past or gaster, so i can't talk to him about it. i’m also afraid that he wouldn't like me anymore. i hurt people and did a lot of bad things under gaster’s influence.”
“Why doesn't he remember?”
“after gaster fell into one of his experiments, everyone forgot him. except me. alphys was announced the new royal scientist, and everything fell back into order. he was gone, stuck in the void, never to exit again. until now i guess.”
“Could it have something to do with that timeline thing you were talking about? I mean, you’ve never seen him before in other timelines after he was forgotten.”
“yeah, possibly. they say that he was split across time and space, so it could.”
“One more thing.” Sarah said. “What's underneath that sheet?”
“it's a machine that gaster made. i’ve been trying to fix it, but i’m not done yet. those are the blueprints for it over there, but they're in wing dings.”
“Why is it in wing dings?” Sarah asked. “Also, what's the machine supposed to do when it's done?”
“well, for your first question, you know how skeletons speak in their fonts? gaster’s font was wing dings so he wrote in them too. as for the machine, its purpose was to jump into other timelines.”
“Cool. Well, we should probably get back to Frisk, we've been gone for a while now.” Sarah said, looking around for a clock.
“sure, sounds fair.” Sans extended his hand out to Sarah. They quickly disappeared from Snowdin and they appeared back in the room where Frisk was.
