Kato looked up at Seth who was hovering slightly over him, holding himself up by his elbow. They smiled at each other, just taking in their presence. That was the second time they'd done it and he couldn't quite get used to that fact.
"You're adorable," Seth muttered and Kato reached up, cupping his cheek.
"Mmm..." He hummed, shifting slightly. "Did you know you are incredibly handsome?"
"I prefer the term sexy." He muttered, reached downing and softly brushing their lips together. "But I believe that term fits you better."
He blushed, giggling softly and running his thumb over his cheek, kissing him back.
A knock sounded at the door, making them jump in surprise. "You guys in there?" Someone called from the other side of the door and Kato widened his eyes. It was Henry.
"He can't hear us." Seth rolled his eyes and stood up, grabbing his clothes. "Though we should probably get dressed and answer before he decides to get help."
He nodded, getting up and quickly slipping on his clothes. Seth walked over to him and put his hands on his hips, kissing his cheek. "Love you, Kitty."
"Love you too." He muttered, smiling.
"Hello?" Another knock. "Is there a spell?" They heard him mutter before he knocked harder. "I hope this is the right room or I'll sound like an idiot!"
Seth jogged over and Kato followed closely behind. When they opened the door, Henry jumped. He wore oversized clothing that looked oddly good on him and his hair was a mess like he ran his fingers through it nervously.
Henry grinned, looking between the two. "Good to know I wasn't knocking on a door to an empty room like a madman." He leaned back on his heels. "I, um... I wanted to apologize." He looked behind Seth and to Kato who blinked in surprise. "I never act like that. I guess I just got jealous..." He smiled.
Kato stepped up to the doorframe and smiled. "It's fine so long as you leave people out of your tantrums." He raised an eyebrow and smirked, making them both laugh.
"So I guess this means we've all made up?" Seth said, slinging his arm over Kato's shoulder.
"I hope so." Henry grinned and stepped back. "The other demons are waiting for him to wake up, so I think it's better if you guys go now. We've all been worried."
"R-really? What for?" He asked, stiffening.
He softened and leaned against the wall of the hallway. "You probably don't like them, am I right?"
"Well, they let Seth get hurt..." He muttered, rubbing his arm. "I wouldn't say I hate them, I just dislike them."
"There's a reason. They have to stay out of their family affairs." He waved his hand at Seth. "Otherwise they would get hurt themselves. Their family is brutal and heartless. Well, besides the children. Seth and his sister Annie are an exception."
"Really?" He looked up at Seth who looked away.
"You shouldn't blame them," Henry said and he returned his attention back to him. "Everyone here is friendly. They just have to follow the rules or they'll..." He slid his finger over his throat.
"That's terrible!" He was truly shocked. "Who would do such a thing? It doesn't matter who it is, that's wrong." He crossed his arms and shifted slightly. He turned and looked at Seth who was still looking away. "Seth?" When he didn't respond, he got on tiptoes and shouted his name in his ear, making him jump and turn.
"Y-yeah?" He stammered, startled. "What is it?"
"Are you alright?" He asked, tilting his head.
He smirked and rolled his eyes though he could see he was uncomfortable. "I'm perfectly fine. Just dazed off in thought."
"Alright..." He muttered, grabbing his hand and holding onto it tightly. "What do you think?"
"About what?" He asked turning and bringing his other hand up to his cheek.
He peeked over at Henry who was closely examining his hand and not paying attention, mumbling something under his breath. "That I should try and befriend the other demons." He muttered, returning his eyes to Seth's.
He chuckled and reached down, pecking the side of his mouth. "I know how friendly they really are. You should try and at least get to know them."
He blushed and nodded. "I-I'll try."
"Now I'm not saying you need to open yourself up to them and tell them everything about every day of your life." He laughed. "But I know you'll come to like them."
"They already like you," Henry said and they turned. "After what you did to save Seth, they look up to you." He smiled. "Because they're not strong enough to stand up against Annie."
"I see." He muttered before smiling back. "Then let's go." Turning, he got on tiptoe and pecked Seth on the lips.
He grinned and nodded. "I haven't seen them in a while anyway."
"You guys make me want to barf." Henry joked and Kato rolled his eyes.
"Your face makes me want to barf," Seth responded and they all laughed, walking down the hallway to the right.
Throughout the walk down the maze of halls, they kept making remarks to each other. It was like a contest. Whoever could make the other unable to respond back was the winner.
When they stopped at the double doors, he shifted his feet nervously. He felt Seth's eyes on him and cleared his throat, rubbing his arm.
"No need to be nervous. Relax. I'm here with you." He muttered in his ear, rubbing his sides up and down, causing him to relax and nod his head.
"Wow. It's like you're taking him to a job interview." Henry said, amused.
"S-sorry." He muttered, blushing in embarrassment.
"He's naturally anti-social," Seth said simply.
Kato reached over and pinched his side, annoyed. "Wow. Thanks for the boost of confidence."
"You're welcome." He teased as he rubbed his own side and he rolled his eyes.
The doors opened and he stiffened as Henry hurried through. It was the large cave part of the Underworld that he was in before. The demons were talking in groups softly before stopping and going silent when they entered.
Kato fell a step behind Seth, nervous about the attention.
"Hey, guys!" Henry called out. "He's awake and healthy!"
The demons cheered and rushed forward, crowding around. A lot of questions about his well-being was tossed around and he stiffened up more.
"Whoa guys, down." Seth joked, raising his hand to make them quiet down. "He can't answer all your questions at once. It'll overwhelm him."
"I, uh..." He blushed and nibbled on his lower lip. "Hi?"
They laughed and someone patted him on the back. Someone stepped forward and held out their hand. "Name's Franky." He was tall and thick and had an appearance like a bear. In his hand was a chocolate. "Here."
"Huh?" He looked at it and looked back up. He smiled nervously. "That's alright. It's yours."
"But..." He looked down at it and back up. "I want to thank you. For helping Seth. And for standing up when we couldn't."
"Oh." Well, he didn't expect that. He blinked before softening. "There's no need to thank me for that." He reached forward and curled Franky's hand over his chocolate. "I'm sure you would've done the same given you had a choice in the matter."
Franky grinned and nodded frantically. "Thank you!" He walked backward, holding his hand to his chest. He looked extremely happy about that.
Seth bent down. "He's never offered chocolate to anyone..." He muttered in his ear. "He must've really taken a liking to you."
He blinked. "Really?" Well, that's odd.
Then more people came up and introduced themselves to him and he eventually loosened up. They talked and chatted with everyone for a while. Henry had been right. They were oddly friendly. He could see that a lot of them had a devilish side, but who didn't? They were still kind.
