“We are married, aren’t we?”
Well, damn. He got me there. Wait! I can’t let him win this. Seriously, I don’t want to die within a few hours of getting married. I had to try to break the news without it sounding like he’d conned the man or something.
“B-But we’ve just met!” I argued. “I am not getting naked with a stranger. No way, not gonna happen.” My curls hit my face as I shook my head.
“Do you think I’m going to assault you?” He walked closer, grabbing my arm and pulling me into him. Panic swept through me as his face became inches from my own. I tried to pull away, but he definitely had the whole ‘stronger than he looks’ thing going for him. This guy was definitely scary.
“I would have done so by now.” My face became red with embarrassment as he let me go.
“N-No…I wasn’t thinking that!” Definitely didn’t want to get the man angry. “I j-just don’t want to, uh...I’m gonna go…now.” I mumbled quietly. Grabbing my small bag (obviously I had my mother pack a quick change of clothes to take right to the bathroom), I practically ran for the bathroom. I turned the lock fast after slamming the door.
I showered and dried off. Then I opened my bag.
“Seriously?!” I should have known my mother wouldn’t let me wear my clothes. At some point, she must have gone out and bought girl’s clothes in my size. Having nothing else to wear besides the clothes in the bag or the dress, I went with the clothes.
They were jeans that somehow gave me a butt and gave nothing away in the front, a bra (with a note to wear it because ‘women wear bras’, thanks mom), and a tank top. I really didn’t want to wear the bra, but then I got to thinking that Malin would probably notice. So, I slipped it on.
“At least it’s comfortable.” I mumbled bitterly. I was dressed completely before coming out of the bathroom. The dress on a hanger in my hand (dad claims it was expensive and he’ll kill me if I destroy it).
“You’re finally out, I see.” Malin sounded angry. I look at the clock on the wall.
“It hasn’t been half an hour yet.” My reply came out short. Aren’t girls supposed to take hours in the bathroom? I hadn’t even taken one.
“Yet I managed to make dinner.” His tone implied that he might view that as my job. Like hell I’ll be some housewife.
“Congratulations, want a cookie?” Maybe I could just annoy him until he demands a divorce or annulment or something and let it be that. Malin then walked closer to me.
“Perhaps you can make some later?” He smirked and I clenched my hands into fists. He was within arm’s reach and I just did the first thing that came to mind. My fist flew and connected with Malin’s jaw.
Did I mention I have a bit of a temper issue?
The next thing I processed was Malin’s large hand wrapped around my wrist. “Think about your next actions very carefully.” He warned. I didn’t care too much for that.
“I have. They involve my knee and your crotch. So, let go.” I demanded. When he did, I stormed from the house. I couldn’t be around him right now.
I walked off in a random direction, not caring where I was going. Maybe I could walk home from here. Not that I was going to, I was just going to cool off.

Cooling off took about 3 hours. When I stopped seeing red, I looked around. “Where am I?” In the woods, that’s where I was. And with no way of remembering where the cottage was. “I’m. An. Idiot.” I turned around and started walking back the way I thought I came. That’s when rain hit.
“And now I’m wet…Great…” Then I saw a beam of light up ahead. It was bouncing, as if it was walking.
When the light got closer, it shined itself into my face and I shut my eyes. “Hey! Put that thing down!”
“Quinn? Thank god I found you!”
Malin…
