The morning after my fail confrontation, I heard my mother in the kitchen and felt lonely upon hearing her. I couldn't take it any longer! All my life, I've always told her everything! So keeping just one secret is impossible for me! I barraged into the kitchen and poured my heart out. I told her everything. About how Mr. Armstrong, was going to kick Lyrical off the team because of me, and how Chase has so much faith in me when it comes to baking, but I always fail at it.
"Oh, Sweetie! I'm so glad we're talking again!" My mother gushed.
"Could you just give me some advice, please?"
My mother tapped her chin in deep thought. "Tell him the truth. It's the only way I can think of."
I sighed. "Some advice that doesn't involve Lyrical killing me!" I yelled.
"I do have another idea, but I know you’re not going to like it." My mother said. I was so confused, my eyebrow cocked. I didn't even know it could do that.
"Wait a minute... you’re not saying I should...?" My mother nodded her head. I swallowed the lump in my throat.
--------------------------------------------------------
We drove all the way to the center. Mr. Armstrong always checks our progress on the weekends, so it was the perfect time to do what I was about to do. I put my purse over shoulder and walked ahead with my head up high. I open the front door to the skating rank and see a lot of kids skating, but the only person I was focused on was Mr. Armstrong. He was talking to Monarchy, but that didn't stop me. I was at that moment very determined and wouldn't take anything other than what I wanted (My Mother kind of spoiled me like that).
"Excuse me, Mr. Armstrong!" I said loudly.
Everyone in the entire rank stopped whatever they were doing and looked at me. Usually, I would froze or run away from the attention, but I didn't care what they thought at that moment.
"I would like to talk to you about removing Lyrical B. Butler and I from this team!" I said.
"Somethings can't be help," He said to me with a serious face.
"I actually thought this was taken care of about two months ago..." He said glaring at Monarchy.
"I am truly sorry, sir. I just don't think it is necessary to remove---"
"I've always wanted to be on this team!”
I blurted,
“But year after year you rejected me! I practiced so hard, and now you’re telling me I'm not good enough!?"
"If you’re going to be kicked off, then obviously you are!" Mr. Armstrong yells back, boiling with anger.
"I've made up my mind. It is not right to remove him because off this brat. Mr. Butler Is staying and Miss Royal..." I turned pale and couldn’t even hear what he said to me due to shock.
“Huh…?” I choked out.
