"You're so cute, aren't you?" Risa said to me like I was a six old.
Chase smiled. "Yeah, she goes to Sweet Shop."
Risa smiled. "You like sweets?" She asked me. I nodded, embarrassed by how she seemed to think I was a kid. Her phone rang ( for some reason, her ringtoun was a cat meowing).
"I have to take this, I'll see you later." Risa said. As she walked away she giggled girly-ish when she answered her phone.
"She's so weird sometimes." Chase smiled. "I like your costume. Is that red blush your wearing?"
"No, cheeks are naturally like this." I replied becoming redder.
"What!? So all this time you haven't been wearing blush?" Chase asked me.
I laughed, "N-no."
"Maybe you are snow white." Chase said quietly.
"Huh?"
"Nothing! Um, what did you get Melody?"
"A movie. And you?"
Chase smirked. "A cellphone. She really wanted it since she broke her old one." My eyes sparkled. "That's so sweet of you! I wonder what everyone else gave her."
Chase grinned. "Bonnie gave her a pregnancy test, so she's not gonna like that. Maybe I'll warn her."
I laughed uncontrollably. It was so embarrassing because I had never laughed in front of someone like that.
"I'm sorry!" I said trying to stop myself from laughing.
"It's alright, you can laugh." Chase said nicely. I was in the mist of laughing when I saw Robbie walk out the back door. I stopped laughing.
"What's the matter?" Chase asked me.
"Nothing! I'll be right back, okay?" I said. Chase nodded his head slowly, looking at me strangely. I ran after Robbie.
"Mr. Tammy!" I yelled stopping Mr. Tammy, from entering his silver limousine.
"Miss Bernardette! How are-"
"Mr. Tammy, Robbie told me you wanted to see me?" I said, out of breath.
"Why, yes, I was asked by your coach to ask to make a date to see you." Tammy says to me. My stomach dropped.
"Why?"
Mr. Tammy shakes his head, "He didn't say. Then again, I didn't really ask!" Tammy laughed at himself for a good minute.
"So you haven't replaced me?" I asked.
"Of course, not. I'll wait for you, dear. You have another month, so if you aren't back by then, I have but no choice to replace you, unfortunately." Mr. Tammy said.
I smiled. "I understand. I'll try my best! Thank you!" I said happily.
Mr. Tammy handed me a card. "Call me if you get back in."
I skipped back to Chase's house. It felt like my body was over taken by butterflies! It felt like my heart was being hugged by a huge fluffy bunny! It felt like I was pregnant with a baby unicorn! It felt like I was going to vomit a rainbow! I could only express my feeling with those examples! As I came closer to the back door, I saw Chase.
"Who was that?" Chase asked me.
"Oh, my director." I said nonchalantly.
"You're an actor!?" Chase asked, shocked.
"Sorta. I figure-skate in costume, so I guess it's acting. Well, I hope I can, anyway." Suddenly, I heard a sharp gasp.
"Bonnie!!!" Melody whined. Everyone broke out in laughter. "Sounds like Melody opened Bonnie's gift." Chase said laughing gently. "Anyway, Lyrical was looking for you."
I sighed. Just when I was actually starting to have fun, I had to leave. "I guess it's time for me to go. I'll see you in school, I guess." I said. Chase waved, as I walked past him.
I remember before I went to school, I would hear kids outside walking down the neighborhood, going back home at 2:00 am. Lyrical said that if you see a bunch of teenagers walking back home in different groups and on the same night, that meant a party had just ended. I thought that was so cool!
...Now, I was walking back home at 2:30 am! I didn't even know that I was allowed to be out that late. Lyrical unlocked the front door and we all came in, Bonnie went on the computer to up-load pictures from the party, Lyrical went straight on to the sofa and fell asleep, and I went into my room and put on my strawberry print nightgown, I brushed my teeth and went to bed. "If Chase had not come to get me... I wouldn't have felt that momentary feeling of fun..." I slowly drifted off to sleep....
(I had a dream that I had given birth to a baby unicorn... I probably shouldn't tell my Mother about that.)
-------------------------------------------------
Melody had her birthday party nine months earlier so that on her actual birthday she can have a dinner party with her family.
"It takes months for our family members to come from the states and japan, so we plan much earlier."
Melody told me on the phone.
"On Chase's birthday he doesn't like to do anything, so we just count down until new years, then give him something at 12:00. Devon'te doesn't do anything on his birthday either, so we just say happy birthday, pretty much."
I was in my room petting Prince Royalty, talking to Melody and watching early morning cooking shows. "My birthday's on new years eve, so my parents made my middle name Eve." Melody giggles. "Is it fun to count down until the New year on your birthday?"
I shrugged. "Yeah. This year we're going to see fire-works, because last year we had a party." I liked talking to Melody, she always had something to say, even if I didn't.
"Do you want to come over to my house for a study sleep over?" Melody said. I didn't reply for a moment. My brain was still processing what she had just asked me.
"Yes!"
