I sounded so pathetic!
"Yes, Melody! Even if you asked me tp shine your shoes, I'd still say yes!"
That's probably what it had sounded like!
"Sorry. I wanted to tell you about it last week, but I totally forgot! Could you make time to come over?" Melody asked. "Oh.. um.." I ran to my calendar, most of the time that thing had nothing on it, but I wanted to make her wait a bit, then she'll think I actually did stuff on Saturdays. I looked at my calendar and all I could see were period due dates and stickers that I randomly stick on there when I got a new pack ( I'm addicted to cute stickers).
"I'm not busy today, so okay." I said. "Good! Could you come over at 7:30? I have to finish buying snacks and lock Chase and Devon'te in the basement." I giggled.
"Okay. See you then- oh wait!" I said loudly. I think I scared her.
"What?"
"Is there a theme or something?" I asked. I thought about a show I had watched with a super shy girl and a fashion themed sleep-over. The girl cried and it didn't end well.
"Oh yeah! It's an animal theme! Sorry." I frowned.
"Uh, it's okay. Anyway, see you then..." I hang up the phone. I was the last person that got invited! Everyone else got invited last week, or maybe before that! I guess since she's the first person I've ever called and been a classmate with I thought we were BFFs, but sometimes I have to remind myself that it's hard to be friends with a person like me. I sat there feeling really stupid for a good half an hour. I turned off the Tv and packed for the sleep-over.
"Good Evening," I heard from out my window. I stopped and listen. "I'm Monarchy Armstrong..."
I wildly ran to my window. My window is underneath our front door, so who ever is at the door, I can see them if I stick my head out of it.
It was Monarchy!
I tip-toed down the staircase and waited. "Bernardette! There's a man at the door for you!~" Bonnie said, quite childish. Sometimes I forget Bonnie is younger than me, since she has a social-life and is allowed to watch ABC family and I'm not. I calmly walk down and smiled when I saw Monarchy.
"Oh!" I said being fake shocked.
Monarchy smiled at me. "May I talk to you?"
"Y-yes." I felt so shy and nervous. Plus, Why was he dressed like he was going to a black and white event?
"Bernardette-"
"Monarchy," I said cutting him off. "If your here to ask me to come back to Fable, then I humbly ask that I reaudition. I want to prove to you all that I'm a good athlete!" I said.
Monarchy stares at me for a while, just long enough for me to feel stupid. Monarchy rubbed his forehead, trying to control his irritation towards me, then says, "Bernadette, firstly, I am unable to do so."
I dropped my head in disappointment.
"But I was going to say, that I would like to train you, again." Monarchy said. I lift my head up.
"B-but, Mr. Armstrong kicked me off! You can't-"
"I intend to make you the under-study of the girl that will be replacing you for the group performance." Monarchy continued, "She is at a lower level than you are and I'm hoping by a stroke of luck that she will be unable to perform. I can suggest to Mr. Armstrong to replace her with my apprentice." Monarchy said.
I blushed. "Y-You want me to be your apprentice?" I asked, shocked.
"Hm... I guess I do. If you are willing, that is."
I felt that brave and determined feeling that always seems to get me into trouble, again.
"Yes, of course!" My eyes started to tear up.
"Is it possible for you to come to the center tonight?"
I nodded. "Okay. Um, just pick me up here." I thought of a long plan, again. Except this time it was quite necessary. I thanked him for his time and closed the door behind myself.
"Mother, Prince Royalty!" I called. Prince Royalty actually knows his name so he ran down stairs with my Mother.
"Wha-"
"I'm going to be Mr. Monarchy's apprentice!" I hugged my Mother. She's always just as excited as I am. I explained to my Mother what was going on exactly.
"I'm so happy for you!" My Mother yelled. Bonnie, Lyrical and Florence ran up from the basement.
"Are you two alright!?" Florence asked, genuinely startled. I explained what had just happened, again, and Florence and Bonnie weren't really supportive. In fact, they went back down stairs when I stopped talking.
"Congratulations." Lyrical says. I smiled. "Thank you!" I felt like crying, I tried to fight it, but...
"Please don't cry," Lyrical said. "It's annoying."
--------------------------------------------------------
I rang the doorbell to Chase's house. I wore my panda jumper, and my cupcake bag and toothpaste.
"Hi, Bernardette! Your pajamas look super cute!" Melody answered the door with a green facial mask on (It kinda scared me). Melody pulled me inside the house. I turned to My Mother who was inside the car, but she just waved at me (I actually wanted her help, but she didn't get why I looked at her). Melody sat me in a chair, put a chocolate facial mask on me, offered me a slice of cake and put my hair into two braids. No one was there, yet.
