Arc 2
Jackson dozed off in the back after explaining to Dawn and Raoul about the events from the day before. Dawn was talking with Jaxon, and Raoul was talking to Quince. Lewis suddenly braked again. Everyone jerked forward. Jaxon’s gun slipped from his hand and fell near Lewis. Lewis picked it up and aimed at the group. Jaxon yelled,”DUCK AND COVER!” and jumped into the seat. Lewis took his first shot. Miss. Jackson woke up and ducked. Everyone else dived for cover. Lewis took his next shot. The seat blasted apart. Gah! How long will this-! A shot fired once again, this time the bullet blasting into skin. Jackson screamed and clenched his shoulder. Jackson was dazed, but alive. Everyone kept scattering. Quince loaded his revolver. He aimed, but before he could take a shot, Lewis fired straight at Quince. There was a scream, blood flew, and thump of a body hitting the floor.
Quince still fired at Lewis, nailing him in the head. He fell to the ground and died. Candy twitched on the floor. She was shot in the stomach, and was dying. She jumped, blocking the bullet from hitting Quince. Candy gave Quince a kiss on the cheek, and died, never taking a breath again. Jaxon stared at the body of Lewis. He saw the signs of an infected all over his body. No wonder he acted up. Lewis’ body was thrown over, while Candy was buried.
They drove a few more miles, looking around. They were looking for a place to stay for the night. Everyone was shaken up and exhausted. There were no First Aid, so Jackson kept groaning in pain as he bled. If they not find shelter in an hour, he would die.
Jackson slowly died in the bus, and Dawn started to cry. She hated every second of her entire week. She thought of Danny, Angelo, Carter, Candy, and even Lewis. They all didn't deserve to die. Jessica was asleep, with Raoul by her side. Argus was driving, his hands clenched on the wheel. Argus exclaimed, “A school! Let's do a supply run!” They pulled into the school. Raoul spoke,”Who's going to-?” “Four.” Dawn suddenly spoke. “What?” She grabbed sticks. “Longest four goes inside.” They all grabbed sticks. Quince sighed. “Not me tonight.” Crawl sighed too,”Whew.” Jaxon got angry,”Dangit.” The four were, Raoul, Jaxon, Argus, and Dawn.
They walked into the school. Dawn had her pocket knife ready. She had found it on the bus. It was engraved Night. Argus carried his bat, and Jaxon had a machete. Raoul had a piece of wood. They walked through the halls. “This place smells like cow manure…” Jaxon walked down, passing the first few rooms. Suddenly, a student, about 16, appeared in the hall. Blood ran down the student’s face, and it’s eyes were pure white. It screamed a scream, warning every infected in the area. Jaxon, thinking quickly, realized that the student was infected, and sliced its neck. Fifty more ran down the halls, running straight toward Jaxon. “Son of a- RUN!” Jaxon bolted down the halls, the others following pursuit. Jaxon made a sharp turn, but the others ran for the back door. The others heard a scream, and knew Jaxon was gone. They ran to the back door, but it was locked. Raoul tried to smash the lock. Argus grabbed his weapon and smashed infected one by one. They started to bite his arms, but he whacked every single one in rage. “DIE! DIE! Die….!” Raoul smashed the lock and grabbed Dawn, who was on the verge of tears. Argus could not withstand the infected, and fell over, dying. Dawn and Raoul ran to the bus and jumped in. Raoul tried to slam the bus closed, but an infected grabbed him. “NOO!” He fell into the horde, and was ripped open. Dawn screamed as she slammed the door.
She stared through the bus door as Raoul was pounding on the door. “I LIKE YOU! I LIKE YOU! I’M SORRY! LET ME IN!” He was being torn apart, and Dawn just screamed. Crawl tried to calm her down, but there was no going back. Raoul was dead. Jaxon was dead. Argus was dead.
They had lost key members.
