Oct 28, 2017

"Hey," Savannah greeted, leaning against the lockers next to Alekto's.

Her head whipped up from the sudden voice intruding the silence that had fallen upon her. She pushed up the hipster glasses perched on her nose, a blush making an appearance. "Uh, hey."

Savannah laughed at her antics, picking up a book that had fallen out of Alekto's locker. "You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah," Alekto assured her, shrugging off Savannah's attempts in making sure the dark haired girl was okay. "Just... nevermind."

A small smile made its way onto Savannah's face at her words. "If you say so. There's a party that my friend, Crimson is hosting. You should go."

"Crimson? Party? Me?" Alekto stuttered, fumbling for words as she tried to make sense of them. Savannah wanted her, her, to go to a party that Crimson was hosting.

"That's basically what I said," Savannah nodded. "You should come over to my house before. I'll do your makeup. Wear something pretty, and be at my house at 7."

Savannah pushed herself off the lockers, pushing the book into Alekto's hands. She left the girl to look after her with a shocked expression. For a solid two minutes, she stood there, unable to function.

One of the most popular girls in her school just told her to go to her house so they could go to a party. A party hosted by said girl's best friend who was also very popular. The hostess who was dating one of the most notorious guys in their school after choosing him over one of the most popular guys in school, Michael.

AKA the guy Alekto has had a crush on for the last three years. Crimson did, too, but she turned him away.

Alekto just wasn't popular enough to even think about his attention.

By the time Alekto even thought to open her mouth to argue against Savannah's statement, she was long gone in the crowd of high schoolers attending Rosafeld High.

She found herself wishing she could get lost in the same crowd.
