Read Hunters :: The little fox

"It's quiet again." Imito said as she sat alone after Carl left "It feels so empty…" She thought "I think I should go visit her." She thought then went to change her clothes.

"Hi, it's me Imito...I mean Ivana... sorry… I haven't visited for a while... you probably don't want to see my face... I saw Robin few days ago, he was ...tired...I know it's my fault... I will avenge you... oh, these flowers are for you and for my sibling.... I'll go now.... Goodbye, Diana." Imito said as she put flowers on a grave and left. On the grave, it was written "Here lies Diana Smith and her child a faithful wife and mother."

"I heard that your target was stolen from you." Kyle said in a sarcastic tone "You don't even know who did it." Kylie continued in the same tone "I'm not in the mood for you two." I said angrily, I still don't know how Ethan will react to this, I hope he’ll let it slip this time.

"You’re here..." I heard Ethan deep voice behind me "uh… yes… I..." I tried to explain my situation but could've say a single word "I heard what happened on your last job." He said as he glared to the twin who were laughing at me "Do you have any explanation?" He asked "No... The target suddenly died, someone killed him using a poisoned needle." I said "Whoever did this made us a favor but... know who did this by any means, we don't know his intention behind this." he said " Yes, sir" I said, he walked past me then stopped and said "And don't miss up again." Then he left.

"He is really angry" I thought. "You'd better find that person quickly." Kyle said with a sly smile on his face. I wonder why are they always like this "They're just like younger siblings that likes to tease their older brother." I remembered her saying this with a smiling face, if only she was still alive... then I remembered the girl at the ball, she suddenly disappeared from the place and I couldn't gather any information about her, who was she?

A week passed since Imito finished her last mission and Nightmare left the temporary town for work. Imito went to train like every day, but after she finished, she decided to go hunting instead of going home.

"Finally! I got rid of it" she heard this thought coming from a woman running out of the forest. She ran past Imito but didn't notice her. Imito decided to see what "it" was. she walked through the path that the woman came from depending on her scent and as she walked other scent became to appear, a fox's scent and there was a sound of a crying baby.

When she finally reached the source of the scent and sound, she found a baby wrapped in an old piece of cloth. Imito slowly got closer to it and looked in its eyes. The baby stopped crying and looked curiously at Imito and tried to touch Imito's nose but Imito pulled her face away. When she looked again at the baby, she noticed that it had animal ears, it had black hair. Imito turned from her wolf form to her human form "Guess there is no hunting for today, right little fox?" She said as she took the baby and headed home.

A week passed and I still haven't found any information about her, it seems that she and her unknown partner are the only suspects, it really annoys me. Ethan is still angry as well and even though the twin decided to help me they didn't make any progress either.

It is like they are ghosts or... "Hunters!" I said as I came to realization "Can it be that she's really.... alive?" I said "She?" A voice said behind me. I looked behind me to find Kyle in his adult form. Thanks god it wasn't Ethan or I would've been done for.

"No one." I said trying to hide my nervousness "You were talking about Ivana... weren't you?" He said with a low voice "No… that's not..." A glare from him stopped me, sometimes I forget that they're children. "You'd better not think with a loud voice again.... Next time it might be Ethan who hears you." He said then left. I can't even imagine the idea of him hearing a word about her.

"Hey Imito! Old man sent me to.... What's this?!!" Carl said as Imito entered the house

"That’s a baby and I remember that I told you not to enter my house without permission." Imito answered calmly

"Where did you find it?" Carl said as he noticed the ears of the baby

"Her… in the forest, her mother abandoned her there.”

“What will you do with it… her?"

"I don't know..."

"I think it will be good idea if you raised her."

"No."

"Why?" Imito didn't answer she just looked at the baby with sadness

"How about you give her to Gina?"

"With that insane Liam around? As if!"

"Nightmare?"

"Out of the town...... I think Inesco won't mind...."

"Don't even think about it! You are enough to me as a little sister...... How about your family?"

"I don't think that Robin and Al will..."

"I didn't mean those two, I meant your original family, as I remember you said that they welcomed you when you visited them. "

"......They did welcome me...... but not as you think, I was being sarcastic…"

" What… do you mean?"

" They... Welcomed me with...a gun pointed to my head… while screaming... leave our family alone, demon."

"That's…" Carl said angrily as he walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Imito asked

"I'll teach them a lesson." He answered angrily

"Sit..." She said

"What?"

"If I wanted to hurt them I would've done so easily.... Anyway at least I knew I have a little sister… her name is Tamara." She said with a sad smile.

"How could they... even though you're…"

"I never was their daughter in the first place, I was solely a monster for them." She said

"But why would they name someone they hate?"

"They never did give me a name."

"But It wasn't Aevum or The Knight who named you."

"Yeah… it was that voice..."

"Voice?"

"A voice that I used to hear before Nightmare found me, it always called me by that name."

"You never told me that before."

"I forgot about it since it stopped talking to me long ago.... that voice...." She said

"Why are you crying kid?" She remembered this question "The same voice...." She whispered

"Same?"
