Read Hunters :: Nice to meet you again

"Another overestimated one." Imito said as she was returning home after finishing off her "prey". "I hope that Carl was really able to take care of her." Imito thought.

Two weeks have passed since Imito found her but it was the first time for Imito to leave her alone with Carl. Imito suddenly stopped walking "The... Hare." She whispered as her a scary smile appeared on her face "It seems that this hunt is worth after all." She said as she changed her direction.

"Still haven't found them yet." I said as wondered in the streets. This is the town of the rumored Jocker. He seems to be a hunter, but he actually was kind of useful to us as he got rid of some insects we wanted to finish off. I was wondering about that Jocker when I smelt her scent "Is it really you?" I said as I wished for it to be true "Why?!" I remembered her crying voice, "I never wanted to... hurt you." I said as I touched the pendant she gave me. I followed the scent with a hope to find her alive for real.

"His scent is getting closer fast, it seems that he smelt my scent as well, he has got some nerves or he thinks that I'm as weak as then." Imito thought.

I reached the source of her scent. The place was a group of ruins, I never know such a place existed. Her scent was all over the place and I couldn't indicate her location "Where are you?" I shouted then I saw him from afar, The Jocker.

I never saw him before but he was known for his white sad clown's mask. He was nothing as I expected, I expected him to be a huge man but he was as small as a woman, he was wearing a long coat with a hood.

As he got closer I could see blood stains on his mask and clothes "Where is she??" I shouted, he didn't answer but his mask changed into a smiling one, it looked as the mask is a real face that change its expression, it was creepy.

He had her scent, when I realized that, I finally reached a conclusion, "He killed her." I thought then heard his loud laugh "What's so funny clown!" I shouted, he didn't stop laughing, it got on my nerves, I wanted to tear his throat apart, so I attacked him but he dodged and disappeared "Stop your circus games, coward clown!" I shouted "Bad move, Hare." I heard her voice behind me "Iva......." I couldn't finish her name as I found myself being stabbed.

I tried to dodge but I couldn’t avoid getting wounded "Too bad you survived it." She said with a sarcastic tone, she was The Jocker?! "Ivana?" I said she looked at me without answering for a second then she attacked again, her speed increased much than it was when I last saw her, she didn't even need to use her animal features.

I tried to dodge as much as I could, I didn't want to hurt her but she was serious in her attempts to kill me. I lost my balance for a second and before I could maintain it back, she shot my leg, I fell and she was about to cut my neck when I thought "Why did we become like this…." and remembered the reason.

She suddenly stopped and said "Is that so... Then I shall leave you for now...Tell Ethan that Ivana's ghost is looking forward to seeing him." She stood and shoot my other leg "Don't worry I will only kill you after I give you your father's head as your last gift." She said as she left.

"Ivana is rather late.... should I look for her?" Carl said after he finally succeeded in making Sylvia - the baby- sleep. He took a few seconds to decide but before he went to look for her she returned.

He was shocked, not from the blood she was covered with, but from her scent "That scent… Are you alright?! He couldn't hurt you, right?!" He said in a panic "Don't be a worrywart, it’s his blood not mine. I wasn't even scratched." Imito said "You killed him?" Carl asked "No, I sent a message to Ethan with him." Imito said as she went inside "Ethan?!" " Yeah, it was him...." "What do you mean?" "Ethan was the one who killed Diana." " What?!" "I read his mind... I'll take a shower.... How's Sylvia?" "She has just slept, she was nearly crying all the time." "You could always ask Inesco for some tips" "Never!" "As you like." Imito said as she entered the bathroom.
