The doorbell rang, and all at once, at least 10 girls ran in, including Bonnie.
"Hi, Melody!" All the girls (basically) said. Melody then explained why she called it a 'study sleep-over.'
"We don't study school stuff, we study magazines, celebrities, and talk about dramas that we're currently watching."
I felt dumb, because I had brought my entire backpack, textbooks and all, and everyone else brought magazines and movies. "What do you watch, Bernadette?" Melody asked me. I tried to think of a show that actually came on TV, most of the shows and movies I watch came from other weird countries like, Australia, Japan, London, or France.
"Um, I watch weird stuff actually." I said quietly.
"Don't mind! I like all types of movies!" I blushed." Um, there's a movie called high school debut," I said.
Melody typed it on to YouTube. "But we could watch something else. Um...Mean Girls?" I murmured. Melody as typed in High School Debut, I felt embarrassed, because that movie has subtitles and Bonnie said that the only reason she'd watch it with me is so that she can see the leading male, he's handsome and that's all Bonnie cares about at the end of the day. "Oh! It's Japanese?" Melody asked.
I nodded. "I told you it was weird..." I said under my breath.
"We don't mind subtitles, right, you guys?" Melody says to everyone. They nodded. "As long as it isn't stupid..." Amanda said, with Yalonda and Bonnie laughing afterward. I felt so uncomfortable, maybe having friends isn't worth all this socializing and these embarrassing situations.
As they watch the movie, I couldn't stop thinking about Monarchy's offer. Am I really good enough to be his apprentice, what is an apprentice exactly? When I thought about it, I couldn't help but blush.
"That movie was good!" A girl said.
I hadn't even watch it at all.
"I know! Even though the subtitles were annoying, it was still pretty cute." Yolanda said. I was happy they didn't think it was completely stupid.
"Okay, now I want to watch A Cinderella Story! All in favor," Melody rises her hand. "Rise your hand!"
I don't rise my hand, because I hate Hillary Duff (I think that's the movie with her. Or was that the other one...?) But unfortunately, everyone else rose her hand and we watched A Cinderella Story. After watching that, we watched Adventure Time, the Fioana and Cake version. "I only like this version, the original version is totally stupid, right?" Melody said, everyone agreed like trained animals. When Chase said he just "moved here" he must have ment the neighborhood, since they're so popular they had to have been living here for at least three years.
"Let's play something old school!" Bonnie said suddenly. "True or dare!" Everyone in the room said in unison. Melody ran into the kitchen and got more snacks.
"Bonnie, truth or dare?" A girl asked. Bonnie smirked mischievously. "Dare!" She exclaimed. "I dare you to... go downstairs and put Devon'te in a head lock!" Everyone burst out in laughter.
"But he's so tall...!" Bonnie whined, her face turning red.
Yolanda and Amanda pushed her towards the basement. "Anyway, Sonny, Truth or dare?" Amanda asked the next girl. "Truth."
"Um...do you like...?"
I stopped listening at that point. I played a matching game on my phone and couldn't hear anyone.
"Hey! Bernadette!" Bonnie screamed at me.
"Y-yes?!" I replied startled. "Your in your own world! I asked, Truth or Dare." I bite my lip. I didn't want anyone of those girls telling my business, so I said, unsure. "Dare..."
Bonnie giggled with Amanda and Yolanda. "I dare you to go to that convince store a cross the street from the park and steal me a bag of chips!" Everyone gasped.
I smirked. Bonnie's always trying to be sneaky, but I needed to leave anyway. It was 10:15 and Monarchy was supposed to pick me up at 10:00pm, so I didn't even have to use my extremely sneaky, and slightly dangerous plan. (Maybe I'll save it for some other day).
"Okay," I said, "What ever. Which type of chips?" They gasped at my casual tone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I ran like a psychotic animal toward my house. I wore my big black coat, that was past my thighs, so no one would be able to see my panda pajamas. Monarchy's car was already parked outside my house. Apparently, he has a gorgeous white car that looked brand new! I'm not good with car names, but it might have been a Nissan? I dunno.
"Good Evening." Monarchy says as he comes from out his car. He opened the car for me and I blushed furiously at the manly scent coming from his car.
"Why are you dressed so fancy?" I asked Monarchy.
"There is a performance tonight." Monarchy replied.
"Yeah, but earlier you were dressed like that. Do you always dress that way?" Monarchy quickly cut a glare at me and continued to drive.
"Stop!"
We were passing by the convince store I was supposed to go to. "Can I buy a bag of chips from that convenient store please...?" I asked poking out my lips. Monarchy parked, surprisingly, and went inside with me.
