The inky blackness of its eyes stared at me. I slammed the door shut and locked the door from the outside, not that it would help. I ran across my room to the door leading to the hallway, I opened it and dashed through the hallway and down the stairs into the living room.
My sister being the couch potato she was, was on the sofa watching something on her phone.
She was wearing blue pajamas and plain black slippers, her brown hair in a bun, her blue eyes staring at her screen.
She looked up, she must have heard me running, the floorboards are really squeaky. "And what the hell is wrong with you this morning?"
"There's this, thing in the bathroom"
"Is it a spider again?" She asked, mockingly"
"No, okay, so I had a dream and I was being chased by this, this shadow thing, and it stabbed me," I shuddered at the thought, "and now this happened, the thing looked just like the shadow in my dream"
"A shadow sin," My sister said, looking worried.
"A what?" I asked, confused.
"We have to get to the panic room."
We ran across the living room and into another hallway at the end of the hallway, was the panic room. My sister typed in the passcode and the steel door opened with a click. I went in first, my sister not far behind me. She locked the door.
Then she did something completely unexpected. Her eyed turned milky white, I couldn't see her pupils. She held up her hands and said some words I didn't quite understand.
"How many of those words were cuss words?" I said in my mind. A chill went up my spine.
What the hell did you just do, Ayla?" I asked Ayla.
"I cast a safety spell"
