We walked down the hall

And up the stairs

To Room 2003

With five minutes

Till the bell.

When we first walked in,

Those who were in there,

Were in awe to find me 

Standing in their classroom. 

     "There she is." Garland pointed out, "The girl with long blonde hair, glasses, reading a book by the window seat."

     "Thank you." I stepped forward to her

And cleared my voice.

     "Excuse me, Jelina Myers?" I called out to her and she turned out.

A sudden

Cold breeze

Swept through my body

As she stared

Up to me

With raging blood colored eyes

That brought back

Nightmares.

I shook the feeling

And gave a smile, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am President Ratana Slides, and I am here to personally greet you as one of our precious students. You see, we give those who decide to transfer into Hillman Animosity late within the year a warm welcome."

     "Oh." She set down her book

And turned her body to me,

     "Thank you." Her soft voice spoke.

     "It’s no problem. Here you are." I handed her

The gift card,

     "A gift from me to you. Use it as you please."

     "Wow, is this really the norm?" She awed, "All the other schools never do this."

     "We pride ourselves on being the best to each individual. Anyway, the bells about to ring. If you ever need anything just swing by Student Council." I slowly backed away,

     "Have a nice day!"

I turned around and left.

     "That was nice. I’m sure she'll be happy." Garland followed me out.

     "I’m sure she will!" I agreed

Although

At the bottom of my stomach,

Twisted

And turned

And The Other Me

Brought back memories

Of those ugly red eyes.
