Noia spends Sunday browsing the links Arianna sent her on the desktop in the penthouse. For the whole of that day and night she keeps the TV on as background noise, but she tunes in to the news ever so often. There is very little information on the true state of the environment and most of the information is provided either by ETHR or the resistance calling out ETHR’s announcements of flourishing new growth.

When Crevan buzzes in on Monday morning she is straightening her clothes by the elevator.

“All ready?” The easy smile stretches and brightens his face as he looks her up and down.

Noia purses her lips but smiles regardless. “Yes.” She follows him down via the elevator and into a car with a chauffeur. They pull up to the ETHR building and the whole structure seems to sparkle with the sun on the energy efficient windows. Crevan holds the entrance doors open for her and retrieves her badge and passes from the front desk.

“So, my dear guardian,” Crevan asks as they wait for the elevator, “what shall our first stop be?”

“I would like to see the environment maps.”

The elevator dings. They step in.
