The silence in the sealed room was deafening except for the steady tick of the clock. I fidgeted in my seat, waiting for someone to test me, my eyes blinking anxiously, and involuntarily. Finally a woman entered the room with stern eyes, and dark hair pulled into a bun. Immediately I felt a burning sensation in my gut. she looked at me and then opened a file on the desk.
"Mr..." her eyes rolled down a list, "Jamie Mirandez," she smiled at me, "I see what they meant when they said Mr. Impossible. By the looks of it, you are the only person on earth, without a power. Powerless."
I looked down at my feet and gulped in a breath of fresh air. What were they going to do to me?
"Well, we have one more test to do, don't worry its very simple." she smiled, and held out her hand for me to take it. Reluctantly I did, and almost immediately frowned. She turned over my hand and examined it, then she looked at her list again. Finally she let out a genuine laugh, "looks like Mr. Impossible turned into Mr. Almost Impossible," she laughed, then coughed covering it, "you do in fact have a power, but it is not common nor rare, it doesn't exist as far as I know, I guess you could call it Power Immunity."
"What?" I asked, puzzled.
"Basically powers don't work on you, and I would know because I can read minds, and I definitely can't read yours!"
