From the Yakama tribe comes tales of 5 supernatural women who resemble giant owl 

women. They dwell in caves by day and fly out at night and prey on all creatures and humans. Legend has it that they hunt humans by mimicking their language.

2. Teihiihan: The little cannibals

Among the most dreaded figures in Cheyenne and Arapaho legends (ETC), these humanoids may be child sized but are incredibly strong, they usually hunt in groups.
