We start into the cave, no one shows any fear or apprehension. But that doesn't comfort me. The deeper we go the more I get the feeling that we aren't supposed to be here. I instinctively look for Leila but I can't spot her in the darkness with all of the others.

“We have to hurry to the Gate.” I hear the voice coming from a small cave to my right. I move closer curious about this “Gate”. There are three men in the cave, the caravan leader and his two bodyguards/henchmen.

“Those two girls should make an excellent distraction for the she-devil’s mutant Gate Guards.” I freeze. Does he mean Lei and I? I have to get to her! I spin and move towards the caravan and run into a really big person. At least I think he's a man. Wait no. He has something on his back. Or someone. That's Lei and the guy who was eyeing her earlier.

“How dare you!” I scream as I lose control. I grab my knife from my boot and lunge at him forcing him to drop Lei. I slash at his throat until I feel the flesh give way and he collapses. I scoop Lei up and run. I run down, away from the entrance because going downhill is easier than uphill when you are carrying a person. I keep going until I hit a dead end with a bunch of weird glyphs on them and set Lei down.

“Lei wake up. Please wake up!” I call to her on the verge of tears. I can't lose her. As she starts to wake up I pull her into a hug.

“Thank the Goddess you are alright!”

“What?" she mumbles.

“He must have drugged you or something. I'm glad it wore off."

“What the hell!? Where is Ken?”

“Who?

"The guy I was with."

“You mean the guy who drugged you and whose caravan leader took us in just to sacrifice us!

“What? No, I fell asleep. Wait, what is this about the caravan leader planning on sacrificing us?” She looks at me with eyebrows scrunched in confusion.

“I overheard him talking to his guards about using us to get his 'Gate' open. And then I saw your Ken carrying you like a sack of potatoes over to him!” She focuses on me intently.

“What did you do? She gasps in horror. “You didn't kill him did you!?

“Yes, I did he was planning on killing the both of us so I did what I had to do.

“How dare you kill someone without real reasons!” Lei yells at me as she stands up

“You had no right to take him from me! What are you scared I was going to leave you for him cause I will now! We are no longer sisters you and I.” She snarls at me as she turns away.
