Trapped in this prison

I’m forced to write

Forced to create with these words

A world only in my sight

Imprisoned at this steel crate

My youth wastes away

What do I get from this?

Why do I stay?

Kept behind these bricks

Surrounded by others like me

But they are all blind

I’m the only one to see

Once a day I get a break

I’m allowed to breath

I grasp for that time

When I will feel freed

After these years

I’ll be let go

Sent into a world

Wanting to know what I know
