The urge to kick everyone in the face is strong. I've been awake for 49 hours, I am so angry at everything.

I couldn't sleep well last night because of what Yoemon and Dai-chan said. Even though I didn't quite get what Yoemon meant, I felt like there was an even deeper meaning to "Only the two of us,".

I pondered over Dai-chan's sermon. True, every decision leads to something and I can't choose what my decisions would lead to. I admit that the choices I'm making are the opposite of what a main character would do. See a magical locket fall from the sky? Throw it away. Find a magical prince in the forest? Run away. My childhood friend likes me? Turn him down.

"Yui-chan, you have bags under your eyes," Sakura said.

"Yeah, you don't say." I felt bad about spouting scarcastic remarks at Sakura but I'm really just not in the mood.

At the laboratory for science class, I got paired up with a shy, glasses dude named Haruta. He was so nervous during the experiment that he accidentally smoked the whole classroom. I have asthma so I had to be admitted to the clinic.

"S-sorry, Sugawara-san!" He cried when I got settled on the cot. "I-I'll just bring the handouts for the project here later."

"No, hand it to me tomorrow at my house. I'm planning to take the day of tomorrow anyway, here's my address,"

I spent the next day in bed. I slept until noon and I couldn't find the energy to get up or even pick up my PSP. I had a slight fever and a headache.

"Yui-chan," My mother knocked on the door. "You have visitors." She opened the door and the whole gang plus Haruta came in.

"Why?" I groaned.

"Yuicchi, are you okay?" Dai-chan knelt beside my bed and touched my forehead.

"Take a guess."

"Oh no," Dai-chan gasped. "Yuicchi, you're being sarcastic! Nah, you're fine."

I laughed a little. Dai-chan sure knows how to make me laugh.

"Anyway, we brought the handouts," Yoemon chided in.

"We also brought a 'Get Well Soon cake!" Chirped Sakura.

"Aw yiss, free food. I'm fine now."

We all ate the cake in my room while they tutored me on the lessons I missed. Since it was Friday, they surprised me by saying they would all stay over, even Rika and Haruta.

"Mommy wouldn't let me stay over unless onii-chan was here. Good thing he was your classmate," Rika said once they got changed into pajamas. I lent my clothes to the girls and Dai-chan brought some of his to lend to the guys.

"Onii-chan?" I asked.

"Yes?" Both Yoemon and Haruta came in.

"What?" They exchanged curious glances. Why did they both–
