I stood up straight making sure to keep the beast's attention on me rather than running towards Charles, even though the kid is warded by a spell it is still slightly possible for Charles to get injured.
I reached my hand out towards the beast who shied away growling, letting its face show in the outside light of my house, I got a glimpse of the beast's face and noticed that it looked really familiar considering that the other thing I noticed was that it was a werewolf.
With the movie Ant-Man still playing in the background in our surround sound system it seemed that the volume was louder than we thought, when the first action scene started to play it scared off the werewolf. Making it run at full speed towards the back fence and jump about 10 feet off the ground just to get over it and run back into the woods. I watched it leave then turned around and started walking back towards Charles. Who was now hiding behind the completely see-through sliding glass door that lead into the kitchen.
I smirked walking up the steps towards him. “Is it gone?” He asked once I walked into the kitchen closing the door behind me.
“Yeah. I'm pretty sure since it hopped the fence and left the yard.” I said rolling my eyes, putting my hand on his back and stealing him away from the door and back towards his couch in the living room where the movie was still playing at full blast.
When we were both laying back down on our separate couches, once again watching the movie and eating popcorn. Charles still didn't look like he was okay even though he was eating and watching the movie like he was before.
So me being me I had to pause the movie and ask if he was okay “Hey, what's wrong?” I said sitting up wrapped in my blanket like a burrito.
He looked up at me, sitting up to face me and wrapped in his blanket almost the same way, “I'm fine. It's just that, didn't that wolf-thing look kind of familiar?” He asked raising his eyebrow questioningly.
“Yeah, She did.” I said with what I assume to be a pondering look across my face.
Charles sat up more in my direction “wait, she? As in that, thing is a girl?”
“Well yeah. She's a werewolf. Haven't you ever seen one in real life? I mean come on your best friend is a vampire!” I stated with a smug smirk.
He looked at me confused and annoyed “okay first of all you're half vampire, half human. Second of all I thought vampires and witches were the only creatures that existed.”
I couldn't help but laugh at his comment “oh my god. You really thought only vampires and witches exists? Nope. Almost every single monster you've ever heard of exists. Like werewolves, windigos, zombies even fairies for god's sake.” I said once again laughing for about a good minute and a half,
“most of them even go to our school.” I added last minute to help prove my point.
All Charles could do was lay back down on the couch still wrapped up like a burrito and looked the most shocked I've ever seen him, even more so than when he just met the werewolf. When I was done laughing I grabbed the remote to the TV and pressed play laying back down and smiling like I was the lunatic who just flipped my best friends world upside down.
Some hours later and quick a few movies watched Charles had crashed about 2 movies ago and I was sadly still watching the movies in the shelves even though I've seen most of them, they were all pretty good and just as I was about to fall asleep to the last movie I had put in only moments before I heard a small knock come from up the stairs.
Me being me I got up off my couch and crept past Charles making sure not to wake him and headed quietly up the stairs that lead to the top floor where mainly my room and the guest rooms were along with a few of the bathrooms.
When I got to the top of the stairs I stopped to listen for the sound to come again, if at all. Sure enough after waiting for about 20 seconds the knocking came again, so I followed it. After following the sound for about a couple minutes, I soon realize that the sound was coming from my bedroom window.
