I stepped further into my bedroom to see if I could see anything in the window from where I was standing but all I could see was a shadow. The Shadow looked like an older man wearing a hat of some sort.
I walked over to the window and knowing that no matter what happens both Charles and I would be completely safe, I opened it up wide then stepped back letting the man inside. The man hopped through the window landing on his feet with a small crouch almost like a superhero landing, then got up and walked towards me soon enough we were standing almost face to face with the exception of a few inches.
I took a few steps back and turned the light on in the bedroom, while my eyes were trying to adjust the man walked towards me once again. “Yo long time no see squirt.” The man said flicking my non-existent yet existing floating crown.
Knowing the flick went straight through the crown I grabbed his arm angrily and looked up slightly at him, “God fuck.” I said letting go of his arm,
“didn't know you were in town. You do know we have a front door right?”.
“Haha you little punk!” The man said punching me in the shoulder then walking out of the room towards the stairs,
“where's my baby bro?” The man added mounting the stair rail and riding it to the bottom.
“On the couch, asleep. I'm sure he'll be glad to know you're back.” I said hollering after the man while I jogged down the stairs to keep up with him.
When I reached the bottom the man had already awoken Charles and now they were both standing in the middle of the living room looking shocked at each other. “Tony?” Charles asked his eyes squinting to adjust to the living room light I had just turned on.
“Yep! It's me kiddo! Thought I'd stop by while I was in town and see how you were doing. I see you're not living with those abusive foster parents anymore?” Tony asked concerned but also relieved.
“Sadly no.” I stated for Charles walking up beside Tony,
“He's only staying the night.”.
“Ah I see. Only one more year to go before you're out of the program then you can do whatever the hell you want.” Tony stated almost triumphantly.
“True! Hey does your head still do that thing?” I asked smacking Tony’s back hard enough to knock his head off his shoulders, literally.
“Yes my head still does 'that thing'!” Tony said annoyed but couldn't help but laugh a little when Charles picked up his head and handed it back to himself.
I laughed when I looked at the three of us “God any normal person would go insane if they saw the three of us standing in the middle of the living room like this. A 24 year old holding his own head with only a scarf and headphones to cover his practically non-existent neck, a half vampire half human 17 year old with a floaty crowny thing and a normal yet magically protected 17 year old standing in the middle of the living room like three dipshits.” I said trying to hold back my laughter.
Once I pointed it out Charles and Tony couldn't help but laugh either “god, you know you can be a real smart-ass sometimes.” Tony said while putting his head back onto its usual floating position on his neck, then using his scarf to keep it in place. Charles looked at the both of us with a huge smile
“I know. It’s not just him you know.” Charles smile widened,
“So what are you doing in town anyway?” Charles asked now sounding genuinely concerned. Tony’s smile faded the second the question was asked
“I'm here to finally get revenge on the bitch who decapitated me and let me live a cursed life.” Tony stated coldly.
I stopped and faced him with the look of shock and disbelief written all over my face, “you can’t mean that you really want to kill him? He dies and both you and Charles might die, you first then Charles sooner or later. You don’t want to put the both of you in danger do you?” I said with a disbelieving smirk, disgust soon taking over my face.
“Well maybe if your dad wasn't a vampire, Charles wouldn't have gone to get the spell placed on him anyway and we’d all be normal.” Tony stated trying not to touch a bad subject but touched it.
