"Bailey..?" I just stared at him. I mean, it's strange to meet a person you've only met and shopped with twice standing in front of your door. "Why are you here?" I ask. Kind of suspicious. "Visiting my father's best friend's family." He said as he kept staring at me. "And you, Shorty?" As if it wasn't obvious. "I live here, you duff." I said with a 'are you serious' kind of voice. "Am I at the right house? I should be at Rosie Chortlanie's house." "Ajax, that's my mom." He took a step back. Out of shock I guess. "So.. That makes you Bailey. Bailey Chortlanie?" I nodded. "I think that's kind of obvious." He stood there and stared at me. "So, you are then Ajax Gèantan? Son of the two adults who came for a visit." He nodded, still unable to say a word. "Anyways, you going to come in or what?" I ask as I step aside giving him space. He entered and I closed the door. This means I've got a new friend? My first friend? No, I shouldn't jump to conclusions. He might not see me as a friend. I sigh and we went to where the others were. "Hello son. You finally arrived." Jasper said and made a move for him to come and sit beside him. He greeted my overjoyed mother before sitting beside his dad. We both sat down, he beside his dad and me beside the two talking ladies. It seems they have a lot to catch up with. I didn't really mind them, so I stared at the two men in front of me. It has been a while since the were men in the house. The last time was when papa was still alive. I really miss him. I shake the feeling off before I started crying. Because his not here anymore, we kept all the pictures that bring up feelings of those moments. We both start to cry immensely just at the thought of him and seeing the pictures doesn't help much. I see Ajax nod and sigh in what seems to be frustration at what his father said. My stomach growls and the room went silent. This is such an embarrassing moment. "Shall go and eat?" My mom suggests. We all made our way to the kitchen. I kept my head down, to hide my flushed cheeks. "Bailey, " I lift my head up, "could you please remove the food out of the oven?" I nodded and removed the food. Tonight's dinner is homemade lasagna combined with vegetables. I love vegetables. I place the food on the table and we all take a sit. I sit across mom. My usual spot. The others take a sit. "So Bailey, do you have a guy you're seeing?" Both Ajax and chock on our drinks at Annabeth's question. "No, I don't." I smiled at her, just in case came over to harsh. Her mouth made and 'O' form. Ajax and I sigh at the same time. I can understand, he knows what happened. Dinner past by quite quick, but full with laughter.
It's currently 8pm. We are all standing in front of the door and saying our goodbyes and see you later. I went up to my room and changed into my sleepwear. I feel so tired. Tonight was a lot of Socializing and that must have drained my energy. I don't even remember the last time that they were so many people in the house. I sigh and tug myself in and slept.
