Destiny smiled as the students greeted her as she walked down the hallway. She reached the door that says “Library” and pushed it open. A smell of old books and magic welcomed her from inside the room.
“Good morning Ms Silverwing, I was waiting for you,” said the black cat at the counter.
“Good morning Mr Purrington, how did you know I was coming?” asked Destiny curiously.
“Feline instincts,” answered Mr Purrington, “The books on artifacts are on the third column.”
“Wow, I haven’t told anyone that I was searching on artifacts,” said Destiny in surprise.
“As I said, feline instincts,” answered Mr Purrington, “Take your time, Ms Silverwing, I’ve closed the library so no one will disturb you.”
“Than-” answered Destiny just as she realised that the cat was nowhere to be seen.
Destiny walked to the third column of shelves and was surprised at how spacious the library looks without anyone. Destiny’s eyes scanned through the rows of books. Then she pulled out the one which said “Artifacts and spells from The War”. She opened the book to the spells page and chanted “coup de fondre” and shot out a bolt of lightning from her hand towards a stack of books. Just as the bolt was about to hit the books, a shield appeared .
“Oracle, you should know that destroying any books in the library will get you punished,” said Mr Purrington as he reappears from nowhere.
“Ha-ha, I thought you said no one will disturb me,” answered Destiny in a playful tone, “I was just testing whether it’s true.”
“Rules are rules,” said Mr Purrington as he disappears again.
Destiny continues to flip through the artifacts pages of the book searching for the two which she saw in the vision.
“Elder wand nope, philosopher’s stone nope, NeverMeltIce nope,” mumbled Destiny to herself.
After hours of searching, she finally found the information about the two artifacts she saw in the vision. Just as she finishes scanning through the information, a blood curdling scream interrupted her.
