"Why don't you just go for a walk on the beach? It'll be nice, I promise." muttered Royce to himself, in a highly inaccurate imitation of his mother. His black converse made imprints in the sand as he wandered the bay's beach. Goosebumps covered his bare arms, which he hugged with one another in an effort to stay war. "A jacket, no you don't need a jacket! It's a low of 90 today!" He hadn't needed a jacket until about 15 minutes ago, when the weather suddenly shifted and the temperature plummeted and winds picked up. The ocean suddenly started to churn, waves grew larger than before and the whole area just seemed uneasy.
"-Are you sure that you are doing this right?" asked an unseen woman. The wind whipped around her voice, slightly quieting and distorting it.
"No! I'm not sure! The rough translation of the ancient Sumerian text you pulled from Google wasn't exactly specific." responded a man, whose voice was raised in annoyance. "If you would just get off your phone and help me this would go a lot faster."
"If you just got to work and stopped whining like a little bitch this would go a lot faster." Royce cautiously and quietly moved closer, peering down at the man and woman from a large sandstone outcrop. The woman was dressed in a deep purple hoodie and light blue jeans. A fox mask obscured her face and the hoodie hid the rest of her head. The man had a similar mask on, but was dressed in a pastel pink collared shirt and tan pants.
"There, that seems right. Begin the chant, I'll call Bubbles." the man, finished shifting items in the sand, nodded at the woman. She began to speak in a language that Royce couldn't understand. Ancient Sumerian, he guessed. As the woman chanted the air started to shimmer with a faint pink glow. The sea started to churn even more, large waves hitting the shore violently, but being abruptly stopped before they reached the items and 2 people in the sand. "Buzule Al-Zah, I call you! Answer my summoning, accept this offering and obey my will."
