You can't be serious.
There is no way you can escape me, Dom.
Soon you will start looking for me. Your body will crave for my touch. And your mind will be filled with the memories we shared. No one else can suffice your lust. There is no one in this world that can touch you the way I touch you. One night, you will start to crave for me.
And you will start looking.
When you do look for me,
You will definitely find me.

1 year later...

It has been 1 year after Terry Lefebvre died. His fans mourned for his death. But as the earth continues to spin, the whole world moves on with their lives. And Terry Lefebvre is just another celebrity who died last year.
During the past year, the group went on different paths in their lives.
Months after Terry’s death, Dana Bleu discovered that her uncle left all his fortune to her. His will was in a form of a love letter that revealed the author's lust for his niece. It was disturbing for Dana to learn that her beloved uncle had lusted over her for all those years. She had thought that his love was because they were family, and not something as disgusting as what she had found out in the letter. In any case, Dana is now filthy rich. She hired a specialist to help her manage the money, and where she can invest her uncle's money; so that she can continue to support her family while doing what she wants to do. With the help of her employee, she was able to earn and save money within the year.
But Dana didn't just focus on money-making. Throughout the entire year, she became obsessed with the coincidence and mystery behind her uncle's death. It wasn't even because she wanted revenge at all; far from it. Dana devoted most of her free time trying to connect all the clues that connected Dom to Lost Hope.
Sadly, Dominique LaMotte disappeared without a trace, and her trail had gotten colder by the day. She was last seen with Mr. Scott, having dinner in a high-end restaurant. The billionaire left alone that night to attend his child’s recital. Dom was never seen again after that.
On the other hand, Lei and Leon started going out when Dana broke up with the Leon. He was already an working, so he was only allowed to see Lei on his days off. Leilynn focused on her studies. She was so anxious to see Heath in the university she attends to, but she never did see him. Lei heard he dropped out of college, weeks after Terry’s death. Luckily for her, Leon was there to comfort her during those hard times. She still had feelings for Heath, but time eventually healed the wounds, that he left her for Dom. It was similar for Leon when Dana chose her newly found hobbies over their relationship. That is why Leon and Lei, being best friends to begin with, related to each other’s breakups that it was a lot easier to move on.
And Heath… well...
The university drop-out is currently working in one of the fast food franchise that Dana Bleu invested on; the Burger La Queen. But Dana doesn’t know that Heath is working there, and Heath did not know that Dana actually owns the place; he also lives at the basement, in exchange for working there.
Time is cruel, and a painful reminder that life goes on with or without you.
A celebrity can be easily forgotten, a woman can waste her time with uncertain things, friends can become lovers, a young man can lose his purpose in life, and a once talked about scandalous woman can disappear and no one will really care about what happened to her.
This was the ordinary lives of our everyday citizens in Evolon City.
But what our group of seemingly random city dwellers did not know is that the bitch called fate will once more tie their damned strings into one fucked up and messy knot
Shall we begin?

Present Day…

It was raining when Leon picked Lei from the university. The couple is going to see a horror movie that Leilynn decided to watch the week before. She enjoyed the genre so much that Leon, who wasn’t a fan of it, was simply forced to watch it with her. They exchanged sweet kisses before heading to the cinemas. Her hand was warm which Leon takes delight on holding a lot. Lei didn’t mind how clingy Leon is since she finds comfort on having someone treat her like the world.
“Hey Leon,” She started as she returns his hold. “Do you think the movie will be scary or stupid?”
“Stupid?” He chuckles at this. “You’re the one who picked it. I don’t even recognize the director of this movie.”
“It’s the only horror movie right now. Plus, the poster looked creepy enough.”
“Then we’ll just enjoy it regardless. I’ll pay anyways, so no worries if it sucks.”
Lei kisses his cheek as her way of saying thank you for being such a good lover. It was nice to have her best friend as a boyfriend. Leon was always nice to her and had watched over her from a far. Of course, since he was older, Leon had to be separated from her for a few years. He didn’t even expect to see her randomly in a love hotel last year.
“Do you still think of him?” He wasn’t sure why he asked. It was probably because he remembered what happened last year.
“Who?”
“Heath…”
“Oh, Heath.” She hums in thought. “Not so much anymore. But I do from time to time out of curiosity. Don’t worry though, I don’t think I’m in love with him anymore.”
Probably. But she wasn’t really sure. She hasn’t seen Heath for over a year, so it was much easier to move on. They never took pictures when they were fuck buddies. So there wasn’t really anything to hold on but a memory of him. I’m not sure what I’ll feel when I see him now… because I’ve never really thought about it.These words crossed her mind as she walks with Leon.
They eventually changed topics and continued their way to where the cinemas is located. Walking down the streets, Lei’s eyes catch a very familiar set of strawberry blonde hair walking on the other side of the streets. Her body suddenly just stopped and turned to it’s direction as she catches the figure turning to a corner.
Was that, Dom?
“Lei? You saw someone you know?”
Leon’s words snap her back to reality as she waves her hand clumsily and apologized for suddenly stopping. She can see the worry in her lover’s eyes which made her pull Leon for a deep kiss. He was caught off guard. But what was really strange is that Lei did not stop and pressed on with a more passionate kiss.
He breaks the kiss to breathe short heated breaths, “L-Lei, what’s wrong?”
“Leon,” She said in a weak tone, “can we skip the stupid movie?”
“Why?” He wraps his arms around her waist. “Did something happen? You were alright just awhile ago.”
“It’s just that...haa….I haven’t…”
“Haven’t?”
“We haven’t seen each other for 2 weeks now...because of my exams…” She buries her heated face against his chest. “And I want you...now…”
He wasn’t sure why Leilynn was acting this way, but he can’t deny the fact that he did plan on bringing her home after the movie.
“Now?”
“Now.”
Dana is browsing some files on her desk when she heard a knock on the door. It was Rafael Kim, her super assistant, that was also the specialist she hired last year. Rafael is a half Filipino-Korean, six foot four, athletic built, and a bilingual dreamboat who works directly under Dana. He had helped Dana spend her money wisely last year and was the reason for her current success.
Rafael Kim is also Dana’s hired PI who worked on the murder case of Terry Lefebvre with her. Of course, they haven’t made any progress since Dom disappeared, so the duo focused on different business ventures ever since then.
“Your coffee, Ms. Bleu.” He placed the cup on her table, along with a sealed envelope.
“And this?” She points at the envelope. “Why is it sealed?”
“I think it’ll make more sense if you just open it.”
“You can just tell me what it is, but alright…” She takes a sip of her coffee first before opening the envelope. Her fingers reached out for the documents and reads it. Her eyes widen at the information the documents have. “Is this?”
“Yes,” Rafael answered before returning to Dana her old phone. “It took longer than I expected. But I hired a hacker a couple of months ago and we got a hold of the stranger app you downloaded last year.”
“NO WAY! This is amazing…” She said with a huge smile across her face. It’s been too long. But now that they have a new lead AND it was about Lost Hope, instead of Dom; she was super excited. “Cancel the rest of my meetings for the day, and let’s get back to finding out who this Lost Hope is!”
The sound of fried sizzling fries, and the aroma of freshly cooked patties surround the nostrils of hungry customers; ready to gobble down the tasty burgers that has been a huge hit to the city folks of Evolon. After the release of their new MARVELOUS BURGER, the number of customers have increased weekly.
Heath is currently mopping the floors when one of the customers started hitting on him. This was normal. Annoying, but normal. Since Heath’s hair grew longer, there were a lot more men who mistake him for a girl. They would hit on him, but then he’ll reveal he’s a guy and they just pretend they never talked to him in the first place. It was part of Heath’s routine to get hit on by the customers; both girls and boys. He planned on cutting it last year, but the manager prohibited him to do so since Heath was also one of the reasons the customers come.
When he was done with the floor, he started cleaning the toilets.
Nothing out of the ordinary for the university drop-out as he just went with the flow of time without thinking too much about anything in general. He eats, work, sleep, wake up, and repeat. Heath doesn’t go out as well since he just didn’t feel like doing so. He also got rid of his phone since he can’t help but search for Dom when he has access to the internet. His parents would send him money from time to time, but they haven’t heard of him ever since. They do know he was still alive since his bank account history shows them that he withdraws and deposits from it regularly.
“Heath! Leave the toilets to Mark. I need you to use that pretty face of yours at the counter.” His manager throws him a uniform which he changed into later on.
He doesn’t smile anymore, since he finds it tiring to do so. Despite his lack of social skills and customer service, people still likes him and go to him to take a picture with. It became a part of his job as the Handsome Burger Guy that had gone viral in both IG and FB. Fans would come from all places just to take a video or picture of him. This was also the reason that his parents know he is definitely alive.
“Is this truly living?” Asked a customer.
“Excuse me?” Heath looks at the customer who was spouting weird things to him at the counter. He gave him a WTF look before the guy suddenly laughs awkwardly and offered him a business card.
“Sorry, I’m a journalist. I write articles about the people who gets viral in Evolon City. With everything becoming such a big deal in this city, you have to go through a large amount of trash before you actually find a good one.” He winks at Heath.
“Alex Rodriguez?” Heath reads the card given to him.
“Your one and only~”
“Are you going to order? Because you’re holding up the line.”
Alex Rodriguez was a 30 year old, light tanned, average built and sized man with a scruffy hair and a pair of very curious brown eyes. He was known to have taken down a couple of celebrities with his blogs and articles. He is also the main reason people moved on from Terry Lefebvre’s death quickly. The notorious and talented journalist of Evolon City, who seems to be fairly interested with Heath Witherpool; watches the young man as if he was trying to study his facial expression. of course this stops when Heath glares at him.
“Ah, yes.” Alex told Heath what he is ordering as he pays and later takes his leave from the counter.
Heath follows the man with his eyes before looking down at Alex’s payment to find a piece of paper which makes his eyes widen from what is written…
Dom is back.
