Summer clouds, and shining sun,

Walking through the park.

I see myself in my son,

His shining eyes growing dark.

I ask, What's wrong hun?

He looks up, I know what wrong instantly.

He says “I'm done.”

“I'm having to fight, constantly.”

Its not fair for him to go through this

I know that I cant stop it

I'm sorry miss

Seems I cant Handle this little bit.

Your boy is gone

There is no turning back for him.

In a safer place by dawn.

He wont have to play victim.

I say to myself.

I let go of him, knowing there is no turning back now.

I realize I have been all by my own self.

“Hes in a better place ya know.”

I say goodbye hun.
