Jayden's pov
‘’I’m sorry’’, ‘’my condolences’’, ‘’I’m sorry for your loss’’…… these were the words I was hearing the pass two hours over and over again. I know is expected from people to say that, it’s a funeral after all, her funeral.
Before I tell you my life story, let me just give you this thought really quick.
Life is really unpredictable, you never know what’s next, good or bad you never know. I used to laugh and not really care about the famous quote or whatever it is, YOLO, but now I know the true meaning behind that word...…. Or so I thought. Life is full of beautiful things, even if you think there is nothing you haven’t seen before. Within the ugly there is always beauty. Even if you don’t see it, it’s there, waiting to be discovered, you just have to keep looking until you find it. Once you do, it could become the best thing to ever happen to you. That was when I meet her. She was an array of colors, she was adventure, she was light, she was the wide blue sky above my head …… my sky. Was…. Yes, she was…. It’s funny how everything you built can fall in a matter of seconds. My sky crumbled above me, it wasn’t blue anymore, it turned dark and gray. She, the one that stole my smile every time my eyes saw her. She was gone, in my arms she was when her last breath came out of her mouth that day……………... that fatal day, it was my fault, it was all my fault. I was lost, I was trap inside the jail of my own mind. But, life decided to give me the key to open myself free, you only live once after all. Second chances were always there, mine came pretty unexpectedly and this time I won’t let it get loose. This time, I won’t turn away.
