Now the next big question is what are you two going to do with him?"
"keep him of course."
"Whoa, Whoa, whoa, slow down there we cant keep this thing."
"why not?"
She had to think of something quick because she didn't want to say the real reason why she didn't want to keep the dog. She knew she would sound crazy if she told her little brother that the dog was trying to read her mind or something of that sort. She then said the first thing that came to mind.
"The dog might have an owner looking for him right now and if we take him home the owner might be out all night looking for him.'
The vet decides to jump into the conversation because she knew that she would have to deal with the dog if they don't end up taking it.
"Why don't you leave it tied outside tonight and in the morning, hang up "lost dog, found" signs around town and if no one claims him in 4 days then you can decide what to do with him."
They both agreed to these terms.
"Oh one last question before we go, what happened to the bite marks on his body?"
"What bite marks?"
"When I found him he had bite marks all over his body that's where I assumed all the blood was coming from."
"When I was examining him, the dog didn't have any bite marks on him."
"But I saw bite marks on his body when I rushed him home."
