Jayden’s pov
I never underestimate my opponent in a match, but this Montenegro guy seems like an easy target. He looks so out of it, like he doesn’t want to be here at all, I can see it in his gorgeous blue eyes.... I got goosebumps in my whole body the moment I realized what I said . But that is all I could see, he is all covered, he even has a black hoodie on, and on top of that, his face is behind a piece of cloth, also black. So, all I can see are his piercing blue mirrors, I could see myself in them when the ref ordered us to get in front of each other. I be lying if I say I didn’t get distracted by them because hell! I lost focus for a moment just by looking at them. They are just…. breathtaking. I never thought I would use such word to describe a person’s eyes, but, in all honesty, I don’t find any other way to describe what I’m seeing. I cannot look away, they are hypnotizing me, it's a strange feeling. But luckily for me I got out of the spell when his gaze turns down. Why is he looking down?
It seems he is in some kind of trance because the fight just started and he is not doing anything. His gaze is still down. Do I have something on my neck? I said to myself trying to figure out this boy in front of me. Suddenly, I hear the audience protesting ‘’what’s up with them’’ ‘’why aren’t they fighting” they were saying. Alright you bunch of pigs, I’ll give you what you crave and what I have missed so much. Ready or not newbie, here I go.
Having that said, I punched him in the face really hard sending him to the floor. I kind of feel sorry for him, he is smaller than me and that, is pretty unusual. I’m used to be the small one around here, oh well, guess I’m not anymore. I think the first round is mine by now, but I’m very wrong when I see him getting up whiting a couple of seconds of having touched the ground.
''Huh? I got you on with that smack, didn’t I? come for me Montenegro, I’ll give you your medicine'' I said out loud just to regret it immediately. I don’t know why that sounded like it had a double meaning, it sure doesn’t have it in my head.
''My medicine? Hmmm! I should be the one saying that to you, thanks for the smack you ‘’Mr.’’ '' He answered me with a boost of confidence he didn’t have before. But I like it, oh is on!
''Let’s get this party started shall we….''
''You talk too much ….'' And with that he hit me several times in my stomach. His punches are not that strong but since he did it one after the other on the same spot, they did some damage especially now that I still have injuries from the accident. Fuck, it’s starting to hurt now. He’s fast, I’ll give him that, but it's not enough to defeat me.
I see him coming at me with such agility that I’m not sure if I can escape but somehow, I managed. He then tries to go back at it again positioning one of his leg between mine. I don’t see what comes next, he caches me by surprise when he flips me over, I lose balance causing me to slam flat on the floor. This boy is different than the other men I have faced. He is not the aggressive type, he plans his attacks outsmarting his opponents. He sure knows how to defend himself. All of that stuff is really cool but I too have my techniques and no way in hell I’ll let a newbie defeat me.
I get up really quick before getting hit again, his knuckles are inches away from my face, I dodged it by tilting my head to the opposite side. Then I grabbed him by his torso and pushed him down just to start hitting him like a punching bag. I can’t stop doing so, the feeling of it is so pleasant to me. I want more and more. But then, I stopped in my tracks because he’s now looking at me with those fucking beautiful eyes of his. Why did I stop, why?
The boy under me slowly starts to close his eyes. No, no, don’t you dare close them on me, don’t pass out, this is not over. I have my closed hand up high and really steady while the other one is gripping his black jacket with force.
''Don’t pass out on me you… damn it!'' I yelled at him
But it was too late, the referee finished his count to ten and with that, the first round is mine. I won. If our watchers were loud before, right now they are a damn amplifier, they seen happy about my first victory of the night. However, I’m not, I don’t know why but I’m not. Thankfully, this is not over yet, I know this guy has more to offer. We have one more round to go.
''Who are you Montenegro?'' I whispered to myself while what it seems his friend, carries him out of the ring to take care of him. I don’t look away from them until I see that the boy is no longer unconscious. His eyes are on me now, I gasped when our gaze crossed paths and then I diverted my glare to look somewhere else.
''Next time, show me all you got'' I told myself while getting out of the ring to drink some water and refresh. I couldn’t stop thinking about our fight. He is so…. Intriguing. I don’t know if it is the long time I haven’t fight or what but, what I sure know is that I have never in my life felt so alive while fighting someone. This feeling…. It’s so refreshing, I don’t want it to go.
