"So the vampire history. It all started with the Mother Goddess and her twin daughters, Ethel and Ida. They were opposites. Ethel had beautiful golden hair with sky blue eyes which was fitting because she is the goddess of the day, the sun, and light. She was kind and well loved by the people especially because of her chosen animal form the wolf. When she was in her human form she had beautiful cobalt blue wings that enabled her to travel far and wide. Ida on the other hand was the opposite. She is the goddess of the night, the moon and darkness. This did not make her evil though she was just as kind and caring as her twin sister but she was willing to do what it would take to help humanity strive to survive and flourish. Ida had midnight black hair and blood red eyes. She made herself and her cats, the animal she chose, the obstacles the humans needed to overcome. Thus people came to associate the dark with evil and fear. But thanks to Ida the humans became a resilient species and were able to survive anything that was thrown at them. Despite their differences Ethel and Ida were very close and told each other everything. Ethel had come to love a human man, but because of her immortality they could never be together. Ida and her lover, Ambrosia, an elven woman who was an expert in magic…"
"Wait Ida’s lover was a woman?"
"Yes most humans who arrive here are surprised about this. Are humans not taught to follow their hearts to the one they love even should that person be of the same gender?"
"Well yeah we are taught to follow our hearts but we were also always told us to love someone of the same gender was wrong and it was punishable by death in some cities."
"Is it truly wrong to love someone of the same gender? What difference does it make even if they had been born into a body of the other gender that wouldn’t change your love for them. In addition to that it is not as if they can change their body."
"I suppose you are right."
"Now back to the story, Ambrosia was a magician who specialized in blood magic. When Ida told her about Ethel’s problem she came up with a solution. She created a type of magic that could make one immortal by only consuming a single drop of Ida’s blood. Ida went to the man to ask if he was willing to do try it. When he agreed right then and there in the forest beneath the full dark moon the first vampire came to be. Unfortunately neither Ambrosia nor Ida could have predicted that, after having tasted the blood of a goddess, Ethel’s lover would begin to crave blood. When Ethel found out she was furious even though all Ida had tried to do was help her sister. She cursed Ambrosia and turned her into a vampire by putting a drop of Ida’s blood, which was stolen, into her wine. Ethel also cursed Ida’s moon to shine a bright silver by reflecting the sun’s light. A constant reminder of Ethel. Because of the curse on Ida the vampires' hair turned silver. Ida managed to protect Ambrosia from the some of the effects of the curse but her hair turned half black and eye red like Ida’s while one eye stayed emerald green like when she’d been an elf and the other half of her hair silver like a vampire’s. Ida also decided in order to protect the vampire she could make a vampire royal family of which all the vampires had to obey. Using a drop of her and Ambrosia’s vampire blood she created the Bloodchild line. My family line. In response to Ida’s actions and to protect the humans Ethel plucked a feather from her wings and turned it into the first angel. The vampires and the angel fought a terrible war that neither could win. If it was continued the two races would have wiped each other out. The Mother Goddess stepped in and split the world into three. The realm of the angels, the realm of the humans and the realm you are currently in the realm of the vampires. She also sent Ida and Ethel back to their skies to simply watch like they were supposed to.
