Brooklyn and Jesse had considered each others as awkward partners in crime. They would always do awkward things around each other proudly. And as long as they were both doing it, it didn't matter that they were in public. But Brooklyn had needed her awkward partner immediately. She wanted to be around him, and be comforted by him. Brooklyn had been stressed recently, and she didn't know how to calm down all the way, except be with her friends.
She needed to be with Jesse, especially since what had happened last night. She had stressed herself out over a dream. A fantasy. Something that started out so right, then ended up being wrong. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't control her dream. She just wanted so sleep and see how it ended, even if she knew it would end badly. She was scared and needed someone that would always comfort her.
Jesse had told her that he would like to go cloud or star gazing one day with her. In her dreams she had accomplished that, and she loved it. It was a summer night under the stars. Brooklyn and Jesse had been lying on a blanket, and under a blanket as well. Even though Brooklyn was under a blanket, she was still cold and started to get closer with Jesse and snuggle with him.
She started to get tired and was falling asleep next to Jesse. He layed his head on her head and softly kissed her forehead. It was magical for her. She loved every bit of it. Jesse was watching over Brooklyn while she was sleeping soundly, until it happened.
Suddenly, Jesse had grabbed at Brooklyn's neck. She woke up with a start, trying to breathe, but it was hard to find air. Jesse pressed harder and harder, taking away Brooklyn's breathe. Jesse had covered both of them with the blanket, so that it would be hard to hear them. He wanted to say something to her, and he wanted to see her die infront of hime.
"You never had a chance of someone liking you," Jesse said. "So why did you trust me?" Brooklyn then gave up her life. She stopped breathing and Jesse began to smile.
Brooklyn woke up with a start. She was still alive, and it was only a dream. She just needed to figure out why she had that dream. She trusted Jesse, but something inside her told her not to for the first time.
Brooklyn didn't tell Jesse what she dreamed about of course. She never even talked about her dreams to her friends. It just seemed unnatural to her and it seemed to have no point to her. A waste of time. And it seemed to personal to share dreams.
Once when she saw Jesse, she had given him a hug as usual. He was still as adorable as ever.
"So how are you?" Jesse asked.
"I'm doing great," she replied. "How about you?"
"I'm doing good," he said. "And tired." Brooklyn had smiled to his response. He was always going to be her awkward partner in crime
