Taylor woke up and moaned, but a cough racked his feeble body. After he calmed down, he heard something. A slight beeping, it was extremely annoying. A dull aching pounded through his chest with each uneven heartbeat that the monitor so rudely announced. But the pain felt muffled, and Taylor realized that he was probably on pain killers. Tubes and other weird gizmos were connected to his body, and he felt so uncertain of himself here that he squeezed his eyes shut. Then, the door opened with a slight creak and a nurse walked in. She had blond hair tied in a tight bun and a strained smile on her face.

"Hello, Taylor. How are you feeling?" She asked as she cleaned a shot needle.

Taylor tried to talk, but it came out as a small groan. The nurse nodded.

"Alright, just relax your body..." She said soothingly and rubbed a bit of alcohol on Taylor's arm. He looked away and she pushed on the top and the needle slid into his skin. He forced himself not to wince as the needle was pulled out. The nurse gave Taylor a shiny smile and stood. He frowned in confusion as she swayed on her feet and the room blurred. Slowly, his eyes closed and he was thrown into a dark, heavy unconsciousness.
